Topic: RE: Hello, New to board!
Hello Jennifer,
I am new to this board.....I am in Orlando as well. My surgery date is 5/24/05.....and I am a Goddess. You said you were going to check out the local Wiccan scene at the UU church? Unitarian? I didn't know they had a Wiccan group? Any information would be helpful.......thanks. I feel strongly that post-op I would like to become involved....June and I have kept up our spiritually together....but it would be nice to find like minded/spirited folks!
Blessings!

Dear Gisela,
We are in Orlando....I have surgery scheduled 5/24/05......I am a recovering Catholic! LOL! I have always been a Goddess.
I have never been a member of a coven.....although as lesbian, I have rubbed elbows at lesbian festivals with other Goddesses over the years.
Maybe when I'm back on my feet.....we could share more?

Topic: New to board
Hi, my name is Gisela Perez from Miami, FL. I had surgery on Dec 6 2004. I had RNY at Holy Cross Hospital (lol a catholic hospital) and my surgeon was Dr. Michael Perez. I had a great experience. As for Wicca, Ive found out that Ive been wiccan my entire life except I didn't discover the name WICCA until almost 6 years ago. Until that time, I thought I was just another wierdo. I currently belong to the Circle of Phoenix, a new offspring of the Circle of Isis Rising in Miami, Fl. If you have any questions...email me. There are pics on my profile...the first one is me at our coven's Samhain festival..I was blowing up a cauldron cooler hahaha. The other one is me at home 5 months after my surgery. BTW..how do I put a pic on my posts?

Hi. I just found the Wiccan board. I had my surgery on Dec. 6, 2004. I had a little trouble because my drain tube moved and squished a nerve everytime I tried to get up..owwwww!!! As soon as they took it out, I was fine. It has been 5 months and I have lost 62 lbs. I had my coven members do a healing spell for me before I went in and I had no complications except for the nerve squish thing =). I weighed 276 and now I weigh 214. Check my profile for pics. Blessed Be to all u guys.

LOL!
We just got together for a quick ritual and then we all went to dinner together. We had planned to go camping to a festival but other things came up and none of us could make it.
So we quickly improvised! Hehehe....
Although next weekend we have a handfasting and the weekend after that we have full moon ritual at my house. It's a busy month to say the least!

Topic: RE: Beltane just around the corner!!!
Thanks, Jamie~~ Wonderful Idea!!!
I know my oldest son would dress as a Jester in a moment!!! I think I can get him to dance around on a hobby horse!
I am planning the menu around Beltane~~ making May wine for the adults. And making oatcakes!!
The ribbon crowns sound wonderful!!!
a good ol' fairy story is also going to be read!!
Bright Blessings!!

Hey Deb, why don't you ask a few male friends to dress up as midevil wiggles? Or jesters in wiggles shirts?! And then have them perform! That way she gets her wiggles and you get your theme! LOL! Kids are easily pleased... my son is happy to have plates with his favorite theme but the rest of the party in another theme (well when he was young that worked, not anymore! LOL!)
Happy Beltane blessings for you! Oh if you want something fun to do with the kids (depending on how old they are) you can weave simple ribbon crowns with the kids! Ashleen O'Gaea's new celebrating the season books have a simple ribbon crown weaving craft that she learned in Hawaii... I just did it this weekend and my six year old son can now do it!
