I'M A READER TO THE BOARD FOR ONE YEAR, BUT THIS IS MY FIRST POST. FEAR WILL OVERCOME SHYNESS. I JUST RETURNED YESTERDAY FROM A BUSINESS TRIP OUT OF TOWN WITH MY HUSBAND AND THE SCALE HAS GONE UP SEVEN POUNDS. I FEEL SO FRIGHTENED. JUST A TASTE AND HANDFUL OF THIS AND THAT WILL DO IT. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR ALWAYS GIVING ME HOPE AND ENCOURAGEMENT, BY ALWAYS BEING SO OPEN AND HONEST IN SHARING YOUR OWN STRUGGLES. TODAY:

B=2 BOILED EGGS
L=1 PROTEIN BAR
D=BROILED SALMON, SMALL SALAD
LOTS OF WATER
WALKING ON THE TREADMILL

It has been so nice to see that we all here for each other, and no one looks down on anyone for their faults or weekness. I like you am finding that I gain from carbs easy. Your meal plan for today looks great! Just know we are here if you need encouragment or just someone to talk too.

how did you know I was doing exactly that, hiding....
It's not only carbs that puts weight on, for me it's anything other then protein, veg., fruit, and our very first post op plan of eating. I am 14 months from my surgical date and must remain rigid with my eating to maintain. It's so hard especially when I am away from home.
I do carry protein bars etc. With me always
how does everyone else maintain when away from home.

Linda, glad to see you posting. We all have our struggles and this board has really been a god-send for me. I don't know where I'd be mentally if I had to deal with life by myself without food as my comfort.
Your meal plan looks great, please join us on the daily check-in. I'm really happy Steph started the post, knowing I'm going to post what I ate today is helping tremendously. It really makes me think before I grab something.
We can do this with each others support.
