I do believe that was my post... I will be celebrating my 6 years on July 31. (july 31/2001) I have went from 233 to my lowest of 133 right now I am 148 Biggest struggle.....water....giving up cokes... Biggest WOW moment...... going to buy shoes....I was looking at my feet in the store mirror with the shoes on...I glanced up suddenly and laughed because there was a girl in the store with the same shirt on as me and she too was trying on the same shoes... it actually startled me because she was staring me in the eye....little did I realize it was myself looking back at me...it was a full length mirror. I honestly did not recognize myself. The runner up to my wow moment was reaching single digit jeans. I still have daily struggles with eating enough and not losing anymore ...and gaining. I am thankful that I am where I am and not where I was.

Hey all, I am almost 2 yrs out. Surgery was 3/15/04. I have lost 124 lbs. I am below goal at 140. Biggest struggle is that I keep getting anemia, so I have absorption issues with iron and calcium. Biggest wow moment was when I just bought a size 9 pair of jeans about 3 weeks ago, and during this past summer when my 16 yr old petite daughter gave me her size 10 capris!! I love being this small. So does my husband!! Laura

I'll play the game. I am 20 months out. I've lost 211 pounds, from 351 to 140, at 5'5". My biggest struggle is the food addiction issues. I mourn many foods, and think I always will. I can't walk past baked goods/doughnuts etc. without almost crying. For my wow moment, I have to join the clothes bandwagon here. Buying size 8 jeans was an unbelieveable moment. I had never, ever been below a size 16 in my life, and had been super morbidly obese for the last 30 years. Being able to exercise comfortably is still pretty amazing, too. I would add, my biggest fear is regain. I am terrified of it. Debra M.

How many years post op are you ? 5.5 Years How much weight have you lost ? 116# Your biggest struggle? Making the committment every minute of every day to be successful and stay that way. You biggest wow moment? Hearing someone describe me as an average...and liking it (mind you, I am clearly way, way above average...just ask my mom!). Karen
