It just has to be that way when I make them something I shouldn't be eating.

Good morning!!!!  Jeanne from Miami chiming in here!!! 1)  Jeanne (or WubScooby) 2)  surgery type - RNY lap 3)  surgery date -  10/13/05 4)  16 months post op 5)  Highest weight - 317 6)  weighed 289.5 day of surgery 7)  goal weight - mine 145, surgeon's 155 8)  current weight - 149 or 150 every morning pretty steady now for 3 months 9)  lowest weight post op - 145 the week of surgiversary, lasted for 3 weeks 10) biggest struggle - keeping a steady exercise routine, I get lazy about that; also carbs

like pringles, crackers, pretzels.  I also do not dump it seems, so I sometimes struggle with eating just a bite or two of something sweet. Most of the time 1 or 2 kisses is satisfying and fine, other times I want to eat more, or keep grazing.  I would struggle with that no matter what I did whether I'd have had the surgery or not.  I'm just glad I can enjoy a bit of chocolate and am glad I have that fear of dumping if I eat too much.  So far I've never dumped, and hope to never!

Thanks for posting this!  Take care! Jeanne :)

Much  love  from Georgia!!

Hi Kathy ... this is great ... I love when we do this ... its a great way to get re-acquainted!! 1.  First name or name you go by on the boards  ... Karyn 2.  Surgery type ... LAP RNY 3.  Surgery date ... 18 JUNE 2003 4.  How far post-op ... 3-1/2 years  5.  Highest weight  ... 349.7 6.  Day of sugery weight  ...  349.7 7.  Goal weight  ...  don't really have one (maybe that's why I haven't reached it?) ... think I may settle in on 149.7 -- then it will have been 200 pounds lost. 8.  Current weight ... 175 9.  Low weight post-op if different than current weight ... 170 10.  Biggest struggle as a post-op ... well, I had a 20 pound gain from my 15th-25th months post-op (which I have since lost, plus 60 more) ... freaked me out (BIG TIME) ... I've been dealing with eating issues ever since (to the opposite end).   I'm also dealing with hypoglycemia ... its believed that low blood sugar (tested after a seizure at 23 in August, 36 after a Glucose Tolerance Test, 50 last weekend after a believed seizure -- I had time to eat my peanut butter crackers before I passed out, hitting my head on something, which required 7 staples and a weekend hospital stay, but it was believed that the blood sugar was most likely "on the way up" by the time the paramedics tested it).  BUT ... do RNY again?  You bet.  In a heartbeat.
