Has anyone had luck with Weigh****chers after RNY?  I lost to within 20 pounds of goal weight after surgery in 2004, in the last 15 months I've gained 45 pounds!  Started WW right after the first of the year and am down 10 pounds.  Journalling is the key for me, but I am having a hard time in my head putting the rules of the pouch together with the low fat, high fiber ways of WW. Anyone else have an experience with this you want to share??

Congrats on losing 10 lbs with ww. I tried ww after the new year and had no luck. I did the points system and found that protein was very high in points so when I switched to lower point items it was too high in carbs and I gained. Are you on the core or flex??

I am doing flex and as long as I make sure and have my protein for breakfast - eggs or yogurt and lean meats and salad for lunch - I'm doing okay.  My protein has been between 60 and 100 g a day and calories between 1000 and 1500 since I started tracking those also on sparkpeople.  My main problem is snacking!  I crave crunch and salt!  I have been staying on points, but want to make sure that I get all of my protein in, too...

I just joined WW, well three weeks ago in hopes to loose more weight. I had surgery 20 months ago and want to lose another 25 lbs. I have not done anything significant at WW the first three weeks. I only have lost 1 lb. But I am going to stick with it a while and see how I do. I really want to loose that 25 lb. Tina

I have been on weigh****chers for two of the three years since surgery. At one point I had regained 14 lbs but I am down a few now. I figure I need all the help I can find. I just discovered that ww meals frozen have pretty good protein values. I sometimes add a protein shake low in carbs and don't count my points for that. It seems to work so far. We have to stick together!!! Mary Jane

Which would be better after RNY, WW or South Beach?  My BF says to do Southbeach and save the money for WW, but I know WW somewhat and figure if I keep walking 2 miles a few times a week, just maybe I can lose this extra weight (20 I put back on, plus another 30 to get to goal). Has anyone tried both and what do you like or don't like about each? Karen

I actually lean toward the SB way of eating.  I think it really fits the lifestyle of the WLS patient after surgery, emphasizing proteins, veggies, some fruit and whole grain carbs.  It's worked for me!

I joined WW in September to lose the last of my weight ot get to goal.  I've lost about 12 or so pounds, regained some over christmas, and am now losing the last of ym christmas weight.  I do Core and it is working out really well for me.  While, Core also focuses on high fiber, low fat, breads, and other refined carbs are not core foods.  I just make sure to get in my protein.  Actually, i love the low-fat focus.  I was always suspicious of the whole high protein, low carb, high fat diets. Anyway, I have a "HUGE" booklet of CORE recipes, so send me your emial address if you want me to email it to you.  Good luck! Tracy

Tracy, I am doing flex, but would LOVE your booklet of recipes.  I am a recipe freak.  I collect them like crazy always trying to get new ideas.  [email protected] Thanks for your support!

hello- i saw your post and ws hoping that you'd send me some rcipes too. My email address is [email protected]. I have gained 12 pounds and thought WW wouldn't work for us.  SInce I didnt think we could eat as much as they tell you to to aquire your points. Again, I just assumed this. i never even really looked into it.  But I would love to lose 10 plus pounds!!!  What's the difference bewtween core and flex?
