Is there ever a point that you need a rivision. I was thinking about this myself. I never reached goal and have recently gained 10 lbs . I had surgery in June of 05. I eat more than i SHOULD AMOUNT WISE. I only eat things I should and a few things I shouldn't every now and then. Does anyone know if there are symptoms to look for if you need a revision.

I'm sending big hugs your way.  I never reached goal either.  I lost 107 lbs and just stopped.  Due in large part to my not continuing to follow my doctor's plan.  I have no one to blame but myself.  I don't dump.  The only thing I have done consistently is exercise, which has help me maintain.  My advice is to get moving.  Try to do some form of exercise 30-60 minutest every day!!  I do water aerobics in the mornings.  Do I love it?  @##%!@#$ NO!!  There is nothing I loathe more than exercise, but I've treated it like hygiene, something you have to do, like brushing your teeth.  Now, if I would get my eating under control, perhaps I would start to lose again.   Take baby steps, my darling.  Start off walking 30 minutes a day and increase it 5 minutes until your at an hour.  The exercise will help adjust  your metabolism so that you don't have to starve to lose.  The funny thing is when you starve, your body goes into retain mode.  It knows you're cutting back to much and will decide to hold on to whatever you put it  your system.   It's not easy, but stay tuned in with this board and with the support of those here who know what you're going through, you'll get there.  You've managed to keep off 57 lbs. That's an accomplishment.  Let's start there in trying to maintain that and move forward.  Please don't beat yourself up.  You know how we are. It will create vicious cycle of wrong eating to ease the pain of feeling down. You can do this.  Be good to yourself.  You have not gone back to the starting block.  You're not 334!  Get moving and get your fluids in, vitamins and you'll get there.

Big Hug!

Denise

I know how you feel. I am also 3 years out on the 8th of April. I did make it to goal, but then stopped attending support group. MY BAD! I also have re-evaluated my diet, and my "non" exercise state. I know that we make a lot of excuses when we know that we are not doing the right thing. We need to get ourselves back on task, and ask ourselves for forgiveness, and continue the race we have begun.

First - I'm so sorry you're going thourgh this. Next - find youself a good therapist who deals with patients with body dismorphia problems and food issues - better if they are familiar with post op wls patients.  The therapist or your doctor can help you with medications that can help with the cravings you don't seem able to control. Many are helped with medications for compulsions - ocd type medications are most helpful when patients cant control eating or grazing issues. The anxiety issues also need to be addressed. When you get your head in the right place with a little help the eating and following the rules becomes easier. You're trying to tackle too many things at once it sounds like. Getting back on track can be easier when everything else is going smoothly. This doesn't have to be such a daily struggle, and the weight can come off again. Good Luck to you - I hope you can get back to where you want to be.

Hi,  I wish I could offer you the solution.. I cannot.. I am dealling with the same issues and while it seems endless to me I am sure you are feeling the same. Know that we care. I find it is really about depression at this point and you may to..Others are offering you exercise - there may be something to that.. I don't know.. I've tried and can't stick to it..  Best wishes and sending you a big hug((((( ))))).  I hope we beat this.  Donna
