STILL losing my hair!
Hello, I do not know how to thank you for the wealth of information you have given me. I appreciate, so very much, the time you invested in replying to me. I am so overwhelmed. My friend saw me sitting here crying and I explained why - that someone I don't even know went through all of this trouble just to try to help me, a stranger. I do take several of the vitamins you listed, but I cannot wait to ask my doctor if I can follow more closely the list you provided. If you don't mind, I will print it out and take it along with me to my visit with my surgeon in a few weeks. Meanwhile, I will do as much research as I can on my own behalf. I am diabetic, have an underactive thyroid, high blood pressure, etc... so perhaps I should not take some of these, I will find out. Bless you for having such a kind heart. I will not forget what you have done for me. Somewhere in your reply is my answer, I just know it!
I am glad that my own search for answers can help you...feel free to share the info with your doctor and make sure that you are able to take these supplements without interfearing with your prescription medications. I know how frustrating it can be to feel like you are alone, but here on OH, someone is always willing to help.
Take care and if you ever feel the need to talk, you can alway email me!
For me, it was my ferritin levels. I didn't lose much hair after surgery. Mine didn't start falling out until 15 months post-op. After doing some research on the web, and looking back at my ferritin levels, I saw that 3 months before my hair loss became noticable my ferritin levels were very low. I started taking daily Gentle Iron supplements and now, a year later, my hair has recovered pretty well. It is still a bit thin in the center crown area, but it had been very thin from ear to ear.
good luck finding your solution,
