I have started day one of Time Out.  I'm very excited about it.  Not just for the prospective weight loss, but I am looking forward to gaining some measure of control again.  Had my first serving of Nectar Cappucino and surprised to say I liked it.  Thanks again Patty for that info.  While I'm sure it has been reviewed here before, Patty's recommendation pushed me to purchase it and again very happy I did.  I too am an all or nothing personality.  In the beginning I was able to use this to my advantage as the need for "nothing" was pretty high,  but as I have become more normal the options/choices have become almost over whelming.  It has become far to easy to say: "well before surgery I would have eaten (insert your choice of ungodly amount of food here) and now I'm just having (insert small but still inappropriate food choice here).  I feel this plan will give me a real handle on what I'm eating.  Tthere are no choices to make, it is what it is.  I intend to use this in the way it is intended, to lose regain and then to nip bad behavior in the bud very quickly. Good luck to all, Always, Carla

Carla, I know some people think time out isn't for them and that's a personal decision.  However, it has worked and is working so well for me and I will forever be indebted to Dr. Warnock for putting me on the protocol.  I feel so much better; have so much more energy and in generaly have such a feeling of well being since I started this.  Sure, I would love for the scales to drop more quickly but that's ok too - I loved losing 16 pounds in two weeks - and I've lost another 10 in the last 4 weeks.  But the inches are falling off really quickly meaning that I can wear clothes that have been hanging in my closet for over a year.  What a good feeling that is. My only regret (just like my only regret with WLS) is that I didn't start this sooner.  I know that when I reach my goal weight again, I will never allow myself to get more than 3 pounds over it without going on time out til I'm back to goal.  This can be a terrific tool for maintainance and keeping it all real. Good luck to you - I'm sure you will do well with it. Patty

I am jumping in also! Patty, I remember you from awhile ago. I use to be on the boards daily and strayed away....but I'm back. I actually did the Time Out today without even realizing I was doing it. I did just have some oatmeal....but tomorrow it will be liquids only. I've got all I need here except for broth. I'm lucky in that I've always used the Real Meals. You would think after four years I'd be sick to death of them but for me it's just natural, like brushing my teeth. Of course my issues are grazing carbs. I have never been able to eat large amounts of foods at one time and I am real good at "justifying" one cookie.....yeah, umhummm. Anyway, just heard from Splenderella and wanted to jump in here and say I'm on board with Time Out. Have to say it feels fantastic to have a support network. I looked for support groups in the town I'm in and nada....so you guys are it! I'm sure we'll give each other the support we need. Blessings, lbbyogawoman

Could not have said it better Patty,   we are all abroad the Time Out Train and getting back on track.   This weekend I had two weddings!   So I made sure I had my protein drink for two meals and had dinner at the weddings.    Ate the protein first and then the veg,  and guess what, felt full right away! You go GIRLS, it does get easier everyday you are on it!   Laura

What exactly is TO. What is the plan? I am 16 mo. post op and still doing good- aside from complications with adhesions and frequently upset tummy. Are you doing just liquid proteins on a TO? How long is a TO?  I don't mean to sound so ignorant but I am new to some of the abbreviations I run into and what they really mean. I'll catch on eventually.
