OKay Connie, I'm looking at this and thinking "much better how?"  you had an awesome day as far as I can tell, especially good on limiting the fruit intake ...Those multi-grain nut pancakes sound scrumpdilishish ( this is a word  ), are they made from a recipe by any chance and if yes how about posting it for me? What was "Knocked Up" about, haven't heard of it, who is in it? Did you enjoy?  I haven't been to see a movie at the theatre in a while, but have been thinking about going to see the most recent Pirates of the Caribean flick , my youngest saw it with a birthday group party, but none of the rest of us have seen it, have you... Anyway, still have ritz in the cabinet, but out of site out of mind works pretty well for me, its only when they are sitting right next to me that the call is hard to pass up, no crackers today, not a one, although I did hear a fleeting cry from the townhouse single packs I have in at my desk pantry, but I resisted ... Have a great evening, see you on tomorrow's post...Alesia

Yeah, it wasn't as bad as I thought.  It seemed like too many carbs and when we were in the movie, I thought it was time for a snack - but I was an hour early so I sort of ended up eating more than I should have.  I tried to even it out at the next snack and I guess I did okay. "Knocked Up" was SO funny!!  There weren't any real "stars" that I knew in it.  It's about this really cute, with-it girl that has a one night stand w/this screwup guy and winds up getting prenant.  Fun ensues !  LOL  It really was cute and funny. We saw "Pirates".  My daughter didn't like it but I thought it was real good.  Of course, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Johnny Depp so......... Good for you ignoring those nasty calls from the crackers!  Keep up the good work!

Hugs,
Connie

Hi Julie, Welcome to the grads board and to our daily accountability posting, come as often as you like ....Looks like you are doing a fantastic job with your food choices, this is great, keep it up ...Are you at your goal? Either way posting accountability is an awesome tool for staying on track...Do you calculate your daily totals for protein, carbs, fat and cals thru like Fitday or Sparkpeople?  I have to admit at a year out I thought I was pretty comfortable with what I was eating that felt I was in a good zone, so I was not keeping very good track of what I was really eating, thankfully it did not reflect itself in gained lbs, but now at 2 years out I really find I can eat everything except high sugar content foods and that my carbs and fat intake is much higher than it was at 1 year, so now I track that too thru Fitday, it makes me more comfortable at knowing that I'm making healthy choices that are in line with what my Nut advised me to do during my whole 1st year and hopefully will aid me in keeping all those lost lbs behind me... Thanks again for joining us, look forward to posting with you in the future... Alesia

Hi Alesia: Thanks for your note!   Yes, I am currently two pounds below goal, and at ten months out, I might end up just naturally losing more, but I'm really happy where I am now.   As a DS'er, I really only track protein and carbs and "spot check" on Fitday about once a week.   Fat is not an issue because I only absorb 18% of fat calories, but I am remain conscious about "good" fat choices too, and try to stay away from transfats and such.    I still do not tolerate sugars and simple carbs well at all, and like RNY dumping, that's not always such a bad thing, as DS'ers absorb 100% of those calories.   I keep a running tally of carbs in my head for the day, and keep those below 100 grams.  Protein has to be over 100 grams a day, and that is my main reason for using fitday, to make sure I get that in.    I believe I am still in the honeymoon phase of my WLS where I can eat what I want and still lose, but am terrified of falling into bad grazing or sugar habits, and thus, I believe too that the accountability habit is WAY important.  It also gives preops and newbies a chance to see what life is like a bit down the road. Hope you are doing well back to work. Julie

Hi Sher, Ah the call of the ritz, all I can say is I'm glad they are back in the cabinet (out of sight out of mind) and thankfully I seem to do really well with just a taste to get over temptation, don't really have the urge to gorge on any foods anymore ( good thing ) You had a great food day, as always right on track...Glad you tomatoes are doing well...The ones I used in my tomato, mozz and basil salad both Sunday and Monday came out of my garden and they were Yummy, nothing like fresh from the garden tomatoes, a little acidic and still warm from the sun... See ya later...  Alesia

Sunday I was a little bad.

B- 1/2 slice of oat crunch bread, 1 egg, 2pieces of bacon

I went ot my moms around 1. I ate the toppings off of a slice of cold pizza

About 2 hours later I had beans and corn bread, with sliced green onions

About two hours after that I ate corn bread and milk ( I haven't had that in 2+ years and it tasted so freakin good)

So I loaded up on carbs at my moms…..

I came home at 5:30 went to sleep slept till 8 had the same thing I had for breakfast.

Sunday wasn't the best food day for me….but I figure I don't eat beans and cornbread every day. Nor do I eat pizza every day….
