Ok friends, i need help.  I have been doing the t/o plan for 2 days been so good on it BUT I have had broth more then i should have yesterday, only has 10 cal though and the 3 protein drinks so around 340 cal. and this morning i actualy gained 1 pound. go figure. i am so discouraged I was looking forward to being 200 or even 199.. what is happening could it be water, i went to the restroom alot yesterday, i guess i need to cut out the broth today and hope it is water retention from all the sodium i think i had 3000 mg adding in the sodium in the protein shakes and broth. thanks ladies and keep up the great work, i am not giving up but discouraged a little,, and yes TODAY the 3rd day is easier, I just drove through del taco and got my boys some breakfast and my one wanted to share and i had no desire even though it smelled great to have even a nibble.. SO IT WILL GET EASIER, JUST WANT THE WEIGHT TO COME OFF NOT GO UP..

Hm...I think you hit the nail on the head as far as the broth goes: a lot of sodium to impede your losses.  Maybe cut it with water or perhaps cut the amount of the "high octane"  in half?  It's day 5 for me.....down another pound. I caved a couple of hours ago and ate a protein bar - which was not even that nutritionally sound so it was hardly worth it. I also ate a tablespoon of peanut butter, which is my weakness. So while it wasn't double batter/double fried chicken, it was a kind of detour from the plan. (I HATE the term "slip") As my husband says, "It's never too late to start the day over." I'll simply continue on with the plan for the rest of the day and take tomorrow as it comes.... Good on you for resisting the kid's food! Every success feeds another.....

*return hijack* Hi Kathy.... I was living in Northern Va. at the time of my surgery but now reside in the Eastern Panhandle of WV.  Dr. Roll has retired, as I'm sure you're aware. I remember seeing your surgeon, Dr. Chebli, when he was first coming on board in the area. First impression: What. A. Hottie. I've heard really nice things about him, too. Dr. Roll was - different.  No nonsense, no handholding. Do you think your husband got the same impression?

*more barging/hijacking*

Oh yea, our impression of Dr. Roll was no sugar coating and not as in dumping either.  LOL.  He was definintely a neat mean.  We liked him alot.  He retired in June 2005 and Dr. Chebli left that same month to move to Seattle WA - a month after my surgery.  And yes, Dr. Chebli... oh my.  We are extremely well taken care of by the remaining partner Dr. Moazzez.   Take care, K
