I'm 29 months out and still losing. My plan is to stop wherever my body stops. I don't intend to obsess and beat m'self up over whatever pounds I may think I need to lose. Life's too short, and the stress from obsessing can't be healthy -- and I *can* obsess over things.  I'm already at a normal BMI, so any more loss is just icing on the cake. (And it helps being tall. Heh.) Jeanie DS 02/12/05 5'10" - 348/171/?? Body Fat = 19% ~~~~~~~

Tanya,
I am almost 4 1/2 years post op. While I have to work at it a bit more now, I still stay within 5 - 8 lbs of my lowest weight. I should mention that my lowest weight was still about 7 lbs over my personal goal, but my body just does not want to give up those last few pounds. My surgeon and my primary care doc are happy with where I am at. I am 125-130 lbs below my highest weight, depending on the day. I am trying to maintain at this point.

I'm just over 4 years out and flux no more than maybe 7 lbs. either side of goal. Other then getting my protein and supplements in first, I've never had to worry about dieting including carbs. It's why had the DS. It's been a sheer joy. I liberally revel in my french cooking and that includes lots of fats. I never much concern myself with diet anymore other than I seem to crave a wider  variety of foods. Labs, which I insist on getting quarterly...  more often than I need, have been stellar. Rock

I'm three and a half years out and have never had a problem with gaining. I changed my life style. I'm very active, now. I don't have much of an appetite, but I try to eat healthy and I stay away from 'junk' food. I've been so motivated all along, and I am just not going to go back to old habits. I walk, run, ride a bike, swim, play tennis...it's so much fun to be able to do these things, now. I'm so grateful. You are doing so well! Congratulations! You will continue to do just fine!
