Hey Everyone Well I did make it to the gym.....did my kick boxing class and some core work.  Felt good to get back.  It's strange isn't it, we get our bodes use to working out and when we don't, it's like we are on drugs and have withdraw.... So my friends, Did You Move To Lose Today and or Maintain?  Come on in and let me know how things are going for you all!!! You guys are going to have to keep me from eating and drinking for the next few weeks.  Yesterday I posted we were planning on my son's wedding and all was happy and today he called and said he was made a job offer to move to Hawaii!!!  How freakin far away is that from IL?  He will never know how upset I am about it.  But if this is his dream I want him to go for it!!!! Kathy, it is so hard for us mom's to have one leave the nest and then to leave for another state.. not even connected by land. well I can totally empathize with what you feel.   I did get my exercise in today, I have not been getting in as much as I should . I will have to make it a priority on the to do list.......... 30 minutes @ 2.5-3 mph, @ 0.3-0.6 incline, total 1.25 miles and burned 160 cal. Saw the orthopedic surgeon today, plan to have L total knee replacement asap, surgeon is booked up for the next 5 months, so it probably will happen till after the xmas holidays. Sher

Hi Sher, Yes, we have to let them go but I never dreamed it would be so far away!!! UGH, knees seem to be the first thing to go with us.  I guess we pay the price for being heavy with our knees.  Considering your knees you are doing great with what ever you can do.  Don't pu**** and be in pain ok? If I don't get to do something I want to with exercising it's usually due to my bad knees... You hang in there ok? Take care, Kathy

Hi Kathy! I'm new here ... and I'm glad you have this post!  I LOVE to exercise now!   I love kickboxing ... that is by far my favorite class and I actually look forward to the days where I get to do it!  I did it last night. Today I went to the gym and ran for 3 miles on the treadmill and then walked fast for 1 mile.  I did a 5 mile trail run as part of an all-womens running event on Sunday. That was awesome!  I'm just elated that I'm able to run ... I've always wanted to be a runner but never had the ability.  Now I'm working up to it and I'm really enjoying myself.  I definately get that "high" after I run!  It's amazing! Deanna

Hi Deanna, It's so great to meet you!!!! You are so lucky you can run, most of us can't due to bad knees...YOU GO GIRL!!! Run for all of us ok? I am so with you on the kick boxing...don't you feel just the best when  you are done.  I think it's the best for fighting stress BIG TIME... I did exercise.  I went to the gym at 10:30 am and did 20 mintues of the weight machines followed by 25 minutes of free weights and toning ball moves and abs.  Then I trucked it back to the gym at 6:15 pm for a step, jump, and jab class.  This class combines step aerobics and kickboxing.  It is high intensity for sure.   Melissa

Awww Kathy, that's so hard! HI is WAY too far away!!!!!!!!! I did 2 miles and planned on doing more but the day got away from me. Glad to hear you had a good one!
