Any of the ferrous family seems to be a problem. We were launched on Vitron C back in the olden days, too. Hurt my pouch, never came out, if you catch my drift. 
Miserable.
Bear in mind that the Vitron C is 66mg elemental and the Tenders are 25mg elemental, so they're not the same. And I'm hoping they'll feel way different in your body, too!
