Hmmm, I've never tried the cantalope w/chicken salad either..I have tried chicken salad w/grapes and liked the combo of it....I "loves" me some fruit!!!! :P Sounds like you had a great day! Dede

This chicken salad had green grapes and toasted almonds. It was especially good. The others ate bread/chips with it, but since I am allergic to wheat, I passed on the starchy things. I LOVE fruit too. It is amazing the amount of money I spent on fresh peaches this summer. I only live about 1 mile from the orchard, and I visited them about twice a week. As long as I can stick to fresh fruit though, I don't feel too bad. I heard a nutritionist say once that it is REALLY hard to Overeat fruit. I think that I may have accomplished it a few times this summer, but maybe I didn't damage myself too much!!!
Hi, all! I'm very happy about how I've been doing the last few days. I have to adjust my mind to not eating cereal for breakfast - but it's a little easier since I've lost 3 pounds since Sunday AND I haven't had one of my low sugar "spells" (knock on wood!!).
B - 1/2 c ff cottage cheese w/2 T ground flax and 1 T sf jam, banana

L - 1 pack pb on wheat crackers, sf Jell-O cup, 1 pack O'Coco's, 5 sf Werthers

D - 3 oz salad w/3 T lf TI dressing, 1 c cherries, 7 lf cheese cubes, sf Jell-O cup w/ff RW, sf fudgie
S - 1 c nsa lf neopolitan ice cream w/1 c frozen blueberries
Plus I drank 65 oz water, 16 oz diet decaf green tea, 16 oz half decaf coffee, 12 oz decaf Diet Coke, 16 oz sf ff hot cocoa w/ff RW and I cleaned the whole house for my exercise.
Total - 1537

Dang - the truth hurts sometimes!!!
I had another poor day yesterday. There are no groceries in the house and payday aint' til Friday... it's about the worst its been since my wls.
B - oatmeal
L - 1/2 BLT (no T, ick!)
D - well, I had popcorn..... yup I'm serious!
S - oatmeal
No protein drink, no real protein. I'm thinking my level was about 18 g for yesterday!!!!
My dh called last night and asked how I was doing.... boy did I let it all rip!! I was tired and HUNGRY!!!!!! Darn it all - I need to EAT!!
Today he came home with an advancement from his boss and he took me to lunch where I had soup and all the turkey and cheese I could eat!! (my favorite). Then we went to WalMart and I got enough to get through until payday (geee, that was $38)!! The kids are all fine cuz they can eat speghetti and pband j and what not, it's just me who's suffering this week - and I've had enough of it.
Soooo, here's the bad confession part.
At Walmart I "justified" a candy bar for myself. There is ONE kind of waffer& chocolate thing that has low enough sugar for me to eat. I bought it and proudly at the entire candy bar in the car on the way home. I told dh, "I NEED the extra calories" ...... boy what a lame thing to do!!!!

I feel your pain with money.. i had a job class change and with it a decrease in pay and going from being paid 2 times a month to 1 time a month.. i still havent adjusted to the change. I am counting pennies right now.

Oh my, sounds rough!!!! OY! Don't fret over the candy bar though....(I'll pass you some protein for a piece of your candy bar....LOL J/K!). You'll be back on track before you know it! Dede
