Let's all stay focused and have a Blessed day!!
Whew! Trying hard to get back on track after 2 weeks on vacation and with family eating and drinking everything not nailed down. (I fear my pouch is the size of my head at this point!)
Walked the dogs early this a.m. Had a good high-protein breakfast of scrambled egg with spinach, tomato and onion. Took my vitamins. Drinking my water. On my way to the gym now to run a couple miles and do a strength-training class. Now, if I can just get the grazing/late night eating under control, I'll be ok.
By the way, my surgery was Feb 9, 06, and my lowest weight was 152. (I'm 5'11".) I'm now at 162 which is driving me crazy. I want to be 155. It's true what my doc said about putting back on 10 pounds in the first year after losing, but I know for a fact it's because I let myself get slack on two things: alcohol and carbs! Beware, gals, and have a great week!
Carol in Charlotte
Sounds like you're off to a GREAT start Carol. Sounds like you are getting in plenty of activity. I really believe that knowing what is causing problems (carbs, alcohol, late night snacking) is half the battle. Of course the other half is NOT doing those things which is why we call it a BATTLE!!!
But, I believe that you can do it. You are not on "vacation" anymore, even from your right eating program. So press on!!!! You can do it. Hugs, Piggybabe
I could use some motivation today.. I didnt sleep well last night and feel like I could sleep for a week.. so lets see...
1. I got my tired butt out of bed and went to work.
2. i changed my protein drink to jus****er to reduce the calories so I could have some oatmeal in the morning.. Need something that sticks better than the shake..
3. I completed a hugh job of translating my manual to incorperate spanish speaking individuals.
4. Tonight5 I promise to go to bed earlier so I can catch up the rest I missed last night.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh I HATE not sleeping well. That is soooooo miserable and makes it REALLY hard to do right!!! But, you DID get up and moving and completed a HUGE job at work. You have given your body a little something extra to work with and have already resolved to get some rest tonite. Sounds like a GREAT plan to me and I believe that it is going to work for you. Just remind yourself that you are tired from not sleeping and that eating stuff your body really does not need is not going to "energize" you. When I am tired I tend to want to eat everything in sight thinking that will make me feel better. It does NOT work!!!!! Hope you have a fab day and get LOTS of rest tonite.
