Lapband over previous bypass

I asked this question on the revision forum and I will also ask it here.  I had previous bypass surgery 7 years ago.  Does anybody know if a lapband can be placed over my previous gastric bypass?  Thanks for any help you can provide.

I have heard of people getting a lapband placed over their RNY.  I am personally getting a ring around my stoma this month.  My surgeon is not doing the surgery for that reason, I also have a dilated common bile duct that need surgery on, but he is placing a ring on me while he has me open.  Kourtney

I had bypass in 2004.I lost 94 lb.and I gained 50 bl. I am getting Lap Band this month. My Dr.told me tha it is Ok to havr Lapband after bypass. Good luck to you. Thanks EK
