Can you tolerate more now?
I am 4+ years post-op. Just want to say I can tolerate almost EVERYTHING. I choose not to go there on most things, but I keep track of myself every single day. I very rarely dump, and when I do it is totally unexpected and with something I have all the time, so it is always a surprise. However, those times are far and few between, so I really have to be on my guard. My ADVICE. Take full advantage at the time when you do dump to get down as much as you possibly can, after the "honeymoon" is over, you will have to work at it like the rest of the world, which is a total bummer. I have kept my weight off by dieting every single day since surgery. I jump on the scale every morning. I know I may sound crazy, but it keeps me honest with my weight. Good luck to all, and know that the surgery effects are ONLY TEMPORARY, so make the best of the time you have. Hugs to all. Missy H.
I'm sure nobody minds you posting here!! I go to Sam's every couple of weeks and get a big box of Ka****LC (Tasty Little Chewies) bars that has 3 boxes inside, so I get a variety. I get peanut-peanut butter, honey almond flax, and trail mix. One of them has 5 grams of sugar, and the other two have 4 grams. They have about 7 grams of protein each, and 4 grams of fiber. They don' t have the sweet taste that a lot of the bars have (like Curves, South Beach and Fiber One). I'm afraid if I get hooked on that sweet taste, I'll be craving it again. They fill me up pretty good, and so far I haven't had any ill effects from them. I'm trying to send you a link to them - they cost over $10.00 here but I get them for a little over $6.00 at Sam's.
