Hi, I appreciate your concern, of course. Just to clarify, i'm 5'4, not 5'5. Yes, I'm 135lbs now and, yes, my goal weight is 115. No, I do not hae an eating disorder (and I used to suffer from several serious ones before WLS, so I would know the signs.) No, being 115 would not put me in increased danger for any major illnesses or damage my immune system. I was about 118 before my weight gain, as an adult, and was probably at my healthiest at that weight, eating about 2000calories a day (not that i was very particular about counting), exercising moderately (a hour 4-5times/week) .  My surgeon, physician and several other medical professionals I know all feel comfortable with 115 being my goal. I'm small boned and come from a small family. my mother is 5'3, 107lbs and very healthy. I currently consume at least 1000-1200cal/day, frequently as many as 2000 at only 10 months out, which is probably much more than average for being only 10 months out. Once at goal, i plan on increasing calories to 2000 or however many i need to maintain (i can tolerate pretty much all foods and have healthy appetite so it won't be a problem.) i'm not really a size 2yet. I'm able to barely zip up my mom's size 2 pants but in reality am more of a 4-6. last but not least, i'm really am all of 135, i don't really have that much lose skin, etc. again, i understand that anorexia and eating disorders are a legitimate corcern for many people but, in my case, that is just not an issue. of course, if i don't make it to 115 and end up at, e.g. 125, i'll still be happy and greatful for the surgery. likewise, if i do make it to 115 and re-gain 10 lbs.,. i'll be fine with that too. but if i actually do use the remaining "weigh loss window" to make it to 115, i see absolutely no health issue there.

Hi, Natalie.  I wanted to thank you for offering additional information about yourself and your goals.  You sound very well informed, and your goals seem well thought-out.  I was initially concerned because of the pure numbers, but based on the additional information you provided, I'm just happy for you!   Good luck on your continuing journey -  Kellie
