You guys are cracking me up with this part!

Look up, specifically Baraitric Beri Beri, our own special version, often caused by vomiting (more than usual), but it's a 3rd version.

Sometimes ONE shot can reverse symptoms immediately, then of course, followed by specific vitamin therpay. If no one takes you seriously, you might want to consult and ND (naturopath), who may not understand the why of your surgery OR malabsorption, but who DOES understand vitamins.

I guess I do bite, too. Just a week or so ago I asked my docs about a certain type of iron they are suddenly recommending. I said, "What are you guys thinking here? You set us back 10 yrs! We already know this doesn't work! And it 'hurts'!" Oh, their male egos will hold it for awhile, but as the ppl come in with belly aches, maybe they'll figure they don't have to reinvent the wheel. LOL

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

I immediately thought a possible Thiamine (B1) deficiency.  Do a search and see of the symptoms and such.

Thank you - I plan to ask to have that included in my labs on Tuesday.  Annette
