Getting Control of the Weight Gain by Suppressing the Appetite!
Okay, everyone, it's time to face up to our weight gain and losing the self control we once had after surgery!
How many of you that are reading this, have gained weight back and want to get back to your lowest weight or to your 'goal' weight, if you never got there?
This surgery is our 'tool' to help us get the weight off, but the surgery can't do anything for our 'willpower' or 'self-control' of our appetites. We try the 'pouch test' and the 'time out' diet, 'accountability' threads, and even revisions of our surgeries to get the weight off, but we are still hungry and we want to EAT! This surgery only shrunk our stomachs and helped with the absorption of calories (for a while), but it never worked on the SOURCE of the problem, which is our appetite!
I'm posting this because, for ME, the only way I can curb my appetite, is to take an appetite suppressant, when I've gained weight back. Three separate times, in the last six years, since my surgery, I've gained up to 182 and all 3 times I've lost it again. I do it by getting back to basics, making sure I only eat 1200 calories a day (weigh****cher points or fitday) and if I need help (when I get to 180 or higher), I take an appetite suppressant.
At first, I took Hydroxycut and it worked for me, but not for my daughter (she hasn't had surgery but needs to lose 30 pounds). She tried it and she might as well have taken a placebo pill at a test trial. But another girl at her high school dropped over 40 pounds by taking something she bought online and it's an asian herbal suppressant. My daughter bought a month supply and dropped the weight, so I tried it. It's not cheap and there are 'fakes' of it out there, so you have to make sure you are getting the original when you buy it.
It's called 'Lida Daidaihua' and you take one a day, in the morning and that's it. My daughter doesn't diet with it and she loses weight but not as fast as I do. When I take them, I eat only one thing every hour or so because of my blood sugar levels and I'm never hungry. The weight just falls off! I got back to 155 by my sixth anniversary in August, but I've gained back 13 pounds so I started them again on Monday, and I've already dropped six pounds in two days!
My plans are to take this until I get to my goal of 140 because I never got there, but once I get there, I'm going to continue eating only one thing every hour or so just to maintain my weight loss. The KEY to keeping the weight off, is to WEIGH EVERY DAY and only allow yourself a FIVE POUND GAIN and that's it! Once you get to the 5 pound mark, get back to basics until you get it off again! That way you never see the scales climb and you keep the weight off! If you need an appetite suppressant, then take it! The surgery didn't work on your appetite and we all have one - we just need to suppress it!
If you want to check out this supplement, here is the website. They aren't cheap but they WORK! If you can't afford them, try hydroxycut or the supplement of your choice. We all need help and we all struggle with getting the weight off. Don't be ashamed or prideful about taking something, because we are still like those who haven't had surgery when it comes to the appetite centers of our brains!
