Bodybugg

So I gave in about two weeks ago and plopped down the several hundred dollars it cost to buy a bodybugg.  If you don't know what that is, it's basically a device you wear on your arm (sorta like a pedometer) and it measures all the calories you burn throughtout the day doing any type of activity.  I've been wearing it for a week now.  They have a website that you download the info from your armband into the computer and you can log your food and basically it will tell you how many calories you have left or are over.  I am pretty surprised at how many calories I burn.  I've been sick with a cold almost this whole week and have done nothing but sleep and I am still burning about 2300 calories a day.  When I get my 10000 steps in (this thing does count steps and activity minutes too) I burn closer to 2700 or 2800 calories a day.  You have no idea how much easier this has made planning meals.  Plus if I have a day where I blow it and eat too much, at least I can tell immediately whether or not I've actually eaten over the amount of calories I've burned.  I did my first weigh in and it matched almost exactly what my calorie deficit had been for the whole week.  (i lost just under a pound and my calorie deficit for the week was right around 3400 calories..)  Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys know about this nifty device.  It sure ain't cheap.  I bought it at 24hour fitness online and got a decent deal..but for the armband and the little monitor display thing it runs about 370 dollars...(actually a good deal because on the bodybugg website it's closer to 500 dollars).  Now I know some people are going to say that I spent way too much on something I could probably figured out on my own...but hey, I work two jobs so I can splurge now and again on things.   Hope everyone is having a great day! Kerri :)
