I could do that too I guess. i have chocolate flavored protein so it doesnt work with my oatmeal. But that's a great idea to help you up it.

Sher, My NUT told me to use whey protein instead of soy. Not sure why. Just thought I would add that.

102 is a nice number. If you wanted to you could do something like i do.. I will have a protein shake before i leave for work and an oatmeal when I get there.. like one breakfast but spread out enough that my pouch can handle it.

I also add protein to my ice cream at night if I am to low.. It helps me keep the numbers up. For me I try and stay above 100. I would like to be at 120 but i will take 100 if thats what I got.

You needed to increase the carbs to stop the weight loss and you did that and it seems to be working. If you could get some meat or chicken in that would be great too and your carbs could go down a bit as well... its working for you so just kind of do what youre doing.. and watch the scale.

You are really doing a great job of following the program. It shows in how you have met and exceeded your goal.. You are the captain and your ship is sailing smoothly.

YOu're right, of course...I'm doing good. This week I'm actually up TWO WHOLE POUNDS (LOL) because, I'm telling myself, of water weight gain. Scheduled to have that stupid monthly thing this weekend so I'm killing myself over that. I keep trying to do some serious self talk over it but I still stress and that has to stop.  I felt sort of weird about adding protein at the end of the day, when I was short, figuring it was somehow wasted if I didn't eat it early enough to make a difference. So I scanned my meals to see where I should add and where I could...Breakfast seemed to be a giant void of protein and wondered (in the post) if I was doing something wrong. I'm not, I know but I still wonder and stress..God, who knew that losing the weight and holding was so hard?  I added a scoop of protein divided between my coffee and my cream of wheat this morning and that makes my reading 24 instead of 4 which it was the morning before(without the coffee). I sort of like the taste of the cream of wheat with the chocolate soy protein. Makes it more like Chocolate Malto Meal without the sugar..That and the banana and some butter buds...Mmmm. Not bad at all. Maybe I won't feel so much like having another second breakfast when I get to work. Doubt it but maybe I won't feel like I need one mentally.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Carla, what is carne asada? That's too bad the restaurant didn't have a better menu. But you did as well as you could. Your day was still good.

My Dh had to have popcorn, so I made some for us both. I just couldn't resist, at least I didn't use any butter on mine. That is a food I should avoid because it goes through easily and I have trouble with my portion control.

Carne Asada is flap meat marinated in mexican seasonings. If it is done right its very tasty. I used to love to eat carne asada burritos but now i just have the meat. This was tired, dry and had no real flavor. It will teach me not to order mexican food in a diner style place.lol..

I love popcorn too but I worry it will get stuck. I will nibble but not a lot when we go to movies. you had a good day today as usual. little low on the protein but hte rest is right in there..

Keep that up. You are doing great.
