I have a lovely recipe for protein bars and want to make them strawberry but can't find soy protein in strawberry...I have whey protein in strawberry and just wondered. Does anyone know?
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Optimun Nutrition Any Whey unflavored is the only one that I know of that is optimized for cooking at high heats.

You are going to BAKE them? Not boil, right? Some mfrs say yes, baking is ok. You'll have to make a small batch to know for sure (and you WILL know!), but normally, you wouldn't heat whey over 160 deg

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

It's sort of long to type but I got it from the www.foodnetwork.com website. search for protein bars. Alton Brown made them last year. It calls for four types of dried fruit (1/4 cup each) so you can make it with whatever dried fruit you like best. I tended toward dried strawberries because I found them at a 99 cent store and had several packages of them. I made the bars with vanilla protein and all strawberries but wanted to try strawberries with the strawberry protein.

I never thought of looking there for protein bar receipes!  I'm much more likely to go to Paula Deen!  I'll try it soon, they sound terrific!  Thanks! Michele
