Have you tried Biotin shampoo? You get it a beauty supply. I think it helped.
I got frustrated when my hair started to grow back in, it was thicker near my scalp and the rest was thin with no body. So I had my beautician cut it really short. It's back to pre-surgery thickness now.
I may go back to really short again, all I did was put some mousse on it and go. Didn't even have to blow dry! It looked really good too!

I had thin hair before wls so when it got even thinner I HAD to do something. I take biotin tablets which really make a difference. It's still thin compared to how I would like it, but the biotin definitely stopped it falling out AND new hair grew threw - so much that I got spikey bits on top of new hair that I had to try and style!!! At the front it has finally got long enough to look good as bangs
Good luck - it's horrid having yoru hair fall out isn't it.

I used Nioxin for the past couple of years, it did ok. Now I'm using Thymuskin. You get it online and it's crazy expensive, but I think it's working. Google it.

Nioxin, Nioxin, Nioxin, Nioxin, Nioxin. Seriously. Nioxin. It's spendy but it's very concentrated and lasts a LOOOOONG time. I use #4 for chemically "enhanced" noticeably thinning hair and when I go to buy it the checker always tells me I don't have "noticeably thinning" hair. (I could kiss her, I tell ya!)
I have naturally thin hair, which got thinner once I hit my 30's and then I lost a bunch post WLS. However, I'm back to just "garden variety thin" hair now, thanks to... you guessed it... Nioxin. I'm also giving Biotin a try. I figure it can't hurt and since my hair is very fragile, as are my nails, maybe it can help.
Good luck,
Vickie

PS I also wear really cool hair extensions which extend the length and thickness of my hair. They too are spendy but I just love how they look so much. They don't really thicken my hair in front but they just overall take my blah blah thin hair and thicken it nicely all over.
