Changes
Yesterday was my two year anniversery. I am making note of the changes since my RNY. The ones that mean the most are sometimes the little things. Like being able to cross your legs, tie your shoes, wearing socks and etc. And some are kind of funny, like I now have a lap, so I got a lap dog, two of them. I would like to hear the things that you have noticed and what makes a difference in your world. Thanks for your replies.
Life is a journey, don't waste the trip.

Hi Mike,
For me it is being able to pull my seat in the car all the way up and reach the pedals, and to walk as long as I want to walk, and to sit with my legs pulled up to my chest... Like you said it is the little things.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
I'll play!!!
I run up stairs now! My house has three full flights of them and it is a breeze.
I make a fool of myself dancing with my kiddos.
I "play" on the McDonald's Play Structure / Park with my kids
I sit on the floor anywhere and get up with the greatest of ease
I feel like a "hottie" for the first time ever...even if just my DH thinks so, I get flirty looks at redlights.
I am easier to get along with
I stick up for myself and am my own most powerful advocate!
I am enjoying life as the BEST version of me I have ever been.
My energy is high.
My negativity is low.
My world is not ruled by food.
All of these are intangible and might seems silly to some but that is why I love this place...ya'll understand.
Hooray for my RNY! Thanks for this positive post. Long live my pouch!
Wow where to begin???
I have a part time second job with an extra 16 hours a week on my feet and it is like nothing! My husbands arms completely around me, sitting with my knees pulled up to my chest while in a chair or at the movies. Getting "hottie treatment" as my husband calls it, doors open, people smile more, they want to help and be nicer.
tieing (sp) my shoes in the middle and not on the side because I have to bring the shoe to my other knee to tie it. CLOTHES CLOTHES CLOTHES. Oh the fun of shopping! The ability to talk about my weight without being embarrassed. Eating in public without being self concious (sp?). I love to eat lunch by myself at a place likevillage inn. I have a book to read and just take my time. I used to want to do that all the time but almost never did because I felt as if I was being watched and judged. I really could just go on forever. Thanks for the post! Peace out.
My son said he doesn't have to hug me in sections..I can tie my shoes while standing up! I also discovered that my two dogs are my lap dogs...I LOVE house work..Love vacuum cleaning and absolutely turned shopping for clothes into an olympic event! I have 20 pairs of shoes because I can see them pretty well now...My closet needs to be expanded because I now love my clothes..
I totally love my new skinny life.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
