Did You Move To Lose Today? Shoveling Snow is Good Cardio
Hey Everyone,
Well thank you very much all my fellow West coast members for sending us snow. And I mean lots of heavy snow. Great for snowmen but sucks for shoveling.
Needless to say we have a huge corner lot and 3 car garage and I shoveled the entire thing. Do you think I got my cardio in?
I will be heading to the gym tonight to workout with my son. Not sure what body part but I will update with details in tomorrows post.

I did my 3-mile walking tape this morning and did it in 47 minutes (that's how long the tape is) but I kept up my pace!
I feel great this morning but I went to the Dr. and they're upping my thyroid meds again...maybe that will help me feel better too!
Snow shoveling is very hard work! You're awesome!

Kathy, you betcha shoveling counts! I have 100ft drive and ran the snowthrower last night at 8:30 and again today at 5am.
Took the stairs 2x already today at the office and have my walk and bowling tonight.
Kinda blew it on the piece of pizza for lunch but I am not going to beat myself up over it. I sort of planned ahead and just had a banana and protien drink for breakfast.
No change on the scale again today and that is starting to get me down. I really have been back at the straight and narrow since 11-19, and except for today (pizza) have been busting it hard.
Hopefully the transformation starts soon.

Hi Tammy,
Try not to use the scale for the measure of success. Take your measurements and if you have access to it get a body fat comp done. A lot of the time we are losing inches and body fat (which is what we want) and it does NOT show on the scales....
How much protein are you getting a day? You may want to up your protein also.
You are doing awesome and can you come down with your snow blower and help me? They are calling for another 3-6 inches tonight

I wear a podometer and try to get in 10,000 steps a day. I walk 2 miles on my treadmill everyday ( I hate the cold )
and lift weights 3 times a week. I am just trying to maintain during the holidays and will focus on losing after the 1st of the year. I have put on about 10 pounds from my lowest a year ago and would really like to get it back off. Its amazing after losing 100 pounds that 10 feels like 50, really uncomfortable. Anyone try Zumba ( latin) dancing. Im thinking about joining a class after the holidays. Have a good day, Debra

Thank you for joining us here. You are so right, it's amazing how bad I feel with the extra weight. Makes me wonder how in the world I functioned with over 200 extra pounds. Well, I answered my own questions...I didn't function.
You are doing GREAT...be sure and check in with us and I have heard the Zumba is awesome. If you join, be sure and let us know how you like it...
