Did You Move To Lose Today?

Well I am kinda bummed today. Friday was my day off so I didn't go to the gym and was going to work out Saturday and Sunday but we had ice storms and just call us slip, sliding away......
So I did my treadmill both days. Tonight will be leg night if the weather doesn't stop me.
How was your weekend? Did you have a grat workout or take a day or two off?

BUT! This is where I need everyone's help. This is about the time that I get discouraged. Even with my attempts b4 RNY, about 3 weeks out on an excersice program I just want to cry,
no "real" accomplishment even though I have been following the food and exercise better than I have in months.
Been doing the water, staying away from the carbs, keeping with the protien and I moved it to loose it as much as I can since November 19th, I only missed 3 days that whole time.
I am going to chuck my scale, maybe I need a new one. Today showed not only a gain, but the 5 I lost plus 2!
SO SEND HELP!
This is when I want to quit. The little voice in the back is saying, why bother? what good is it doing. Once and for all I want to get this monkey off my back. Help me see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Don't use them as a measure of success of failure. I have done the same thing and it runs me off in a ditch every time. Take your measurements, are you losing inches? Get a body fat comp, are you losing body fat? I know you are!!! If you are not eating unhealthy fat, burning fat then it melts off the body. How do you feel? How does your clothes look? That is what I would use as a measure of success.
I had a 9 week time frame where I didn't lose at all and almost jumped off a tall building. But I KNEW I was eating right and doing all the rules and it was just my body fighting me tooth and nail. And once it started again it didn't stop.
So hang in there and GET RID OF THE SCALES
The only other thing I may suggest is up your protein some more but check with your surgeon/doc first.

Tmac Well, had my 3 week meeting with my "shrink" (been going for the last 2 years w all the changes that WLS brings) and we talked about this problem and how I have been REALLY leaning on this board to get thru this time
and she was glad I was.
Told her about the scale thing and we agreed that I am going to have my husband hide it, cause if I do I will dig it out.
Also to continue with what I am doing till the first of the year, when I plan on getting back at the health club, it's just too much right now with the holidays to fit it in.
Did 1.6 mi Monday night because I had my other niece's concert to go to last night.

P.S. I think I know why the big change on the scale yesterday, my monthly started Mon night. (that answers alot

I think it's nerves from the holiday stress and everyone is eating around me when I'm trying so hard to lose! I keep telling myself that everyone will be doing the same thing in the new year and that it'll get easier. I hope I'm right.
