If it's sweet I can eat it...

My anniversary date is 1/30 and I have lost 82.5lbs. and can wear a size 14. My question or dilema is there are certain foods that my pouch won't tolerate and I am sometime limited to the amount of food I can eat. I have found since the Thanksgiving holiday that I can eat anything sweet from chocolate bars to cake and not "DUMP."  I am scarred out of my mind! I want to continue to lose, is there anything I can do to get my weight loss moving again? Open to all and any suggestions.

I am having the same problem ... I do love sweets, and I have been eating them big time lately.  I am determined to get back on track though as eating sweets just sets you up for a constant craving of them.  The truth is that only about 40% of us "dump," so that means that the majority of us do not ... And even those who initially do, they eventually don't either.  My point is that it comes down to personal responsibility ... We choose what to put into our mouths each and every day.  The past is over, so pick a date and simply do better.  Focus on protein first, and then fruits and veggies.   Perhaps join a support group like Weigh****chers, TOPS, or Overeaters Anonymous. Hugs, Annette

Congratulations on your loss.  I will be 3 years out and continue to lose thanks to regular exercise and sticking to the life plan that was laid out before the surgery.  You have choices to make here it will be about priorities vs. desire and control.  If sweets are your trigger put sugar free goodies in the house and stick to your goals.  Because you can does not mean you have to.  Good luck.
