Im starting the pouch test tomorrow as well. I too completely caved to the junk this holiday season, with a gain of 7 pounds,,so its back to basics for me. I did the pouch test in November and was very pleased with the results. I didnt lose much but it did reset my pouch to the way it was post surgery. I could only eat a small amount and I would dump easily on the wrong stuff. So, Im anxious to get back on the right track, and thats the perfect way to start. Im starting back to the walking today too..I got away from that and could really tell the difference! So, gotta go grocery shopping to get some liquids,,but yes, Im jumping ont he 5 day wagon with ya'all!!! Blessings Betsy

Count me in !!! I had been doing well and now it is back to the drawing board for this ol' girl! These extra five pounds feel like they might as well be 100!

I am in! I am going to start Jan 2nd. I have to see if I even have any pouch strength left! I doubt it but we will see. Sometimes I feel like I used to before the surgery, so it will be interesting to see if I can get my little old pouch back. That would make life so much easier. I really really need to get this weight off before my wedding in June!!

Well, I did it, made it through day one! I wold love to eat, but I am craving protein, like a steak or chicken, and not the carbs, so that is a good thing! I already have my bag packed for work tomorrow, yogurt, broth, Atkins shakes. I am glad we all started this! Lisa O

I am glad everyone is being honest about our "falling off the wagon" during the holidays.  Let's enjoy what's left of them and all promise to do the 5 day pouch test come January 2nd.  I'm there and we can all be there for support of one another.   Remember, we can't beat ourselves up for indulging during the holidays. No one wants to feel deprived.  But we all need to take the steps to get our pouches working again.   Joann

Oh, I'm with ya!!!!! I haven't been super bad, but bad enough and I will definitely need a good de-carbing after the New Year!!!! My incentive is that I have my 3yr check up on Jan 25th and I don't want to see any weight gain since last years appt, LOL!!!!
