5 Day Pouch Test

Went out today and bought broth, cream of chicken soup, pudding etc... as well as some more protein drinks. (I was running low anyway)  Will start the 5 day in the morning. (actually kinda started tonight by accident.   My tummy has been a bit upset since around 4pm today and I have had nothing but liquids since then. lol) To everyone starting this 5 day test... Hey Tina!!!  I found that I actually had more calories than normal when doing the 5dpt. I just really upped my protein shakes to help combat the hunger and it did help. The second day was harder for me than the first. Try hard to stick to the plan of liquids the two days. It is hard but I know that you can do it!!

I started the 5 day pouch test today and I wanted to eat since 11AM. My only problem today is that is snacked on sugar free candy but I drank 3 protein drinks, 1 cup half caf coffee, 4 oz of applesauce and 4 oz of sugar free jello. I hope my stomach is not broken. I have gained 10 lbs in the last couple of months. trying to eat healthy however I notice that I snack all day long. I know this is not good. Trying to break the habit. I am fine without the carbs.

My plan has been to NOT gain during the holidays!  So far, so good.  I'm eating WAY too much junk though.  Once we get past News Years Day and the "traditional" foods (black eyed peas, greens, etc.) I'll be ready to start the 5DPT.  I got it from Kaye Bailey's emails (I think I spelled her name right).  She has interesting and helpful post for WLS "grads".  I'm almost 2 years post op and still want to lose 40 lbs.  I am beginning my new year with the 5DPT and adding more exercise.  I know that to get this last 40 lbs. off I have to start exercising!  I don't do any formal exercise although I do walk alot more, ride my bike occasionally and go dancing some.  I am going to try the new Dancing With The Stars exercise video and a yoga video to see if I like them enough to continue doing them.  I need the yoga to help me destress!!!
