why should u not drink while eating food? sorry for silly question
Our pouches do not have a pyloric value at the exit anymore. So, if you drink soon after eating it'll push the chewed up food out of the pouch leaving you hungrier much earlier.

As Kathy said, you want food to stay in your pouch as long as possible, making you feel full, and not wanting to eat too often. Liquids will wash that food out of your pouch, as there is no valve holding it in. That is also why you want to eat dense protein foods, such as chicken or turkey, instead of "slider" types of food. Dense protein will stay in your pouch longer. Luckily for me, I am physically uncomfortable if I drink anything for quite awhile after I eat, so I am not tempted to eat and drink.
