Protein Shakes, Bars, Snacks..I need ideas!

Okay...I have gotten really LAZY on getting in my protein. Let me know what brand, flavors, protein amount in it everyone else is drinking. When I first had surgery I lived on Unjury, but I got tired of it. QUICK! What is everyone else doing to get in their protein and water? That is my goal for the first..get back in my post surgery routine~ Holli

I drink the isopure chocolate flavored. It mixes well with water and if you warm it up its really good. I stay away from the bars because of the calories. Its OK if your replacing a meal when your busy but I was taught to eat foods high in protein because its alot better and keeps you full longer. I eat alot of eggs and cheese and dense proteins like chicken, ham, turkey. I dont eat alot of slider proteins like yogurt, cottage cheese unless I eat something dense with them. Thank you! I always mixed my drinks with milk for extra protein, but I would love something to mix with water. It seems easier for my on the go life~ Holli

My favorite proteins are Champion Nutrionals Brand Chocolate Whey Stack and Chocolate ProScore 100. I get a 5 lber of the whey stack and mix half of that with a 2 lb container of Proscore. I scoop in 1 c. of Hood Chocolate Calorie Countown Dairy Beverage, a pinch of instant decaf coffe, lots of ice and blenderized-----yum. Like a Wendy's Frosty!

Hi Holli! I can tell you that there are SO many things on the market protein wise. My favorite protein drinks were always Syntrax Nectar. They come in all fruity flavors......and they mix with water. They seriously do not taste like protein drinks!!! They are 90 calories and 23g of protein! By far they are the best I have ever had. I have also just started using Unjury Chicken Soup flavored protein......and Strawberry Sorbet. They are also 90 cal and 21g of protein. Otherwise I used to eat quite a bit of jerky. Hope this helps!

Hi Holli, No the Syntrax Nectar has NO aftertaste. Seriously it is like drinking fruit juice....it is just a little more creamyish if that makes sense. I have had isopure and it is NOTHING like that. I had to choke isopure down, and with the nectar, I actually ENJOY drinking it! Try it out! I think my favorite flavor is the strawberry kiwi.

I love the following: Whey Gourmet Peanut Butter Chocolate -add jus****er & ice IDS Cappuccino -add to coffee w/ SF Syrup (AWESOME) this is what I have every morning IF I DON'T HAVE ACHIEVONE Matrix Hot Chocolate -just add coffee & SF Toasted Marshmellow syrup (AWESOME) Nectar -Chocolate Truffle (its awesome) Miccelar Milk-awesome warmed slowly on the stovetop and add some SF Syrups I LOVE AND I'M ADDICTED TO ACHIEVONE VANILLA NUT, HAZELNUT & MOCHA

I've tried the: Matrix Cookies & Cream (wasn't all that, I purchased a 5 lbs bag and it's still there) lol I'll use it someday... Whey Gourmet Frapp (didn't care for it since it gets really thick if you warm it up) humm I have so many I've tried...OOO and the protein bars that I like are the PURE PROTEIN CHOC DELUX I get at walmart humm looking over my list and it looks like I'm addicted to chocolate lol
