5 DPT ~ anyone wanna join me?

Yesterday I sent an email about the clinical trials for the RESTORe revision from a link I got from here on OH. I'm not even sure it's for me, and this morning as I was thinking it over again I decided to give it a shot at carb and sugar detoxing by using the 5DPT starting tomorrow. I have about 40 pounds to lose, I'm gaining FAST right now and I'm scared to death. I still can't believe I packed on 40 pounds since this past summer. Ouch!

If anyone else is thinking about doing the 5DPT and is interested in joining in with me and supporting each other, please let me know, I've never done it and I know it's going to be hard especially since I eat SO much and so often now. I'm hoping to get away from the sugar and carbs and get back to exercising... I really hope I can lose this weight again, right now it just feels completely impossible.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!! I have all the faith in the world in you and in your pouch!!!! Just go back to when you very first had surgery!!! It is probably not going to be a breeze, but do exactly what you did in the begining!!! When you are on the liquid phase make sure you ONLY DO liquids!!!! Eat cream soups, sf jello (this is considered liquid), broth and TONS of water, dec. cofee, uns. dec. tea, crystal lite and TAKE YOUR VITAMINS!!!!! Make sure to take in protein during this phase also don't forget  about your protein. Do this with protein supplements(drinks). Shoot for 70-80 grams of protein per day!!! Good LUCK and YOU WILL OBTAIN YOUR GOAL!!!!! Terri P.S. I am on day 4 of the 5DPT & have lost 5 pounds!!!! You can too!!!

Thank you so much for your encouragement! You are doing awesome with the 5DPT! I really hope I have enough self control to do this, I'm really worried about the days of all liquids especially. I'm going to give it my best shot! Reading your posts and others that have been doing the 5DPT have given me hope that I can get this weight gain back under control and kick the carb and sugar cravings again. Congrats on your weight loss and how well you're doing with the pouch test!!

You just keep your faith in your pouch, it will work and do what it is meant to do!!! Probably the 1st day will be the most difficult but just tell yourself that it tastes much better to be healthy and wear a size 8 not a size 24 (in my case) than any of that unhealthy crap that I used to fill my body up with could ever taste!!!! YOU WILL SUCCEED!!!!!!!!!! (Sorry my spelling is horrible so please excuse me) Hear with you through this journey, Terri

YOU CAN DO IT !  IJUST DID DAY 4  OF THE 5 DAY TEST AND IT HAS BEEN A CHALLENGE ON THE 4TH DAY MORE THAN ANY OTHER DAY.  BUT I HAVE MADE IT THROUGH THIS DAY AND I LOOK FORWARD TO DAY 5 AND MY WEIGH IN.  DON'T GIVE UP YOU HAVE SO MANY OPTIONS EACH DAY TO FILL THE VOID OF THE LARGE AMOUNTS YOU CAN NOW EAT.  USE THEM TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.  IF YOU STILL TAKE YOUR LUNCH, ONLY PUT THE THINGS YOU CAN EAT EACH DAY IN YOUR LUNCH PACK AND USE YOUR FOOD JOURNAL  TO KEEP TRACK.  GOOD LUCK
