Well, I'm not a hard body but I'm here, LOL!!!!! I did 3mile WATP this morning followed up by my upper body workout with 5/8/10lb weights~it felt great! My legs are still sore, LOL, so won't be working those again for a few more days. Jim assures me that will get better and better the more I do it. He's working out right now with a friend and then we might take a quick walk outside with the kids b/c its still in the 40's and sunny here today!!!!

Jumped rope and workout with a ten pound medicine ball for toning. Will be playing tennis when I get home if it doesnt rain.  But if it rains then I will be doing 45 minutes on the treadmill and lifting weights.

Last night, 30 min ellpitical and 10 min treadmill. Lower body strength training. In a previous post you said not to do cardio before weight lighting, why is that? I almost always do cardio before weight lifting!

Since last Saturday, I have been doing the Walk a Mile with Leslie Sansone, followed by the Level 3 workout on Weigh2Win. I can already see some changes. I admit to not working out at all since my surgery on 28 August, 2006. Now I am gearing up for plastics, so I want to be in top shape. Should I do this every day, or do I need to take a day a week off? Please let me know what yout hink. Thanks!

I wished on them, but they were only satellites

Been busy this evening, so I'm sitting down at the computer later than usual, but I wanted to check in. I had a little shorter workout at the gym than usual since this is choir practice & Bible study night, but I did manage to do 25 min. on the elliptical and 15 min. on the recumbent bike.  Better than nothing.   (While I was on the elliptical, I was watching a  young girl on the stair climbing machine--boy, that looks brutal to me!  Not goin' there!) Yep, it's getting cold again.  Down to 35 right now in south-central IL.  The balmy weather was fun while it lasted.

Always,
Jo

I to do my cardio, then lift weights, is this wrong? I usually takes wednesdays off, although I did shampoo all the carpets in my house,so kinda got a workout. We had taken care of our daughters collie over xmas while they took the kids to disney, We are not use to all that hair  and dog slime in our house.  So now its time to get down stairs on the treadmill, its really nice having a in home workout room, I dont have to make myself look like something before I workout. Hey there Strong Sexy Sassy ones!!! OK...here's the deal. I went to go workout my lower body before my Nia class. Nia is a dance class with influences from yoga, martial arts and ghetto booty dancing.  Anyway, I was in the ladies only workout area of my gym hoping for a little more privacy than the co-ed weight room. I am really trying to build muscle right now and am using the Bill Phillips method of weight lifting. Anyway, I was working out really hard and felt awesome about it. There were two other ladies in there dilly-dallying along on treadmills.  So, as soon as I wrapped up my lower body lifting I walked out to join the Nia session for my cardio. This one lady who had been on the treadmill was going too. She said "Are you rehabbing something?" I was like, "huh?" Anyway, she went on to tell me that she thought it looked like I was in a lot of pain. Pffft! This is the second time this has happened to me. What is up with the nosey gals at the gym who are worried about me "hurting myself?".  Anyway, it was slightly embarrasing and I just told her that I am busting my @ss to build muscle. I've lost over a hundred pounds and am a work in progress and sometimes it looks painful to whip your body into shape. Anyway, what do you say to these overly soft, well meaning mother types who want to either put you in your place or are jealous and mask it by being "concerned" you are working out too hard? Do tell!!!
