Accountability Wednesday - What did you munch on?
Since Carla hasn't posted and I want to get this done and over with. I was cranky all day today because, well, I just was. Nothing has changed at work and I don't know why I expected it to but I did. ... Here's what I ate:
Breakfast: Malto meal made with soy milk and 1 T Wheat Germ, Blueberries and coffee
Snack: 20 gm protein bar and 1 oz of salted (assumed roasted) Cashews
Lunch: Stuffed cabbage leaves, left over. 1 serving
Snack: 10 gm protein bar, 4 oz cooked shrimp,
Late afternoon snack: Yogurt, 4 oz Dannon Light/Fit
Dinner: 4 oz cooked beef steak from the grill and one piece of Russell Stover SF Candy (1/3 serving)
Totals:
Calories: 1474 Fat: 59 Carbs: 121 Protein: 125
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Today was the same as usual for me lately since the pouch test......didn't eat until 3pm, and had a protein bar at that time.
Dinner: 1 skinless hot dog....no bun, and 1 cup of broccoli salad which I made for the first time today (very good and nutritious)
After dinner snack was another protein bar, then some sf jello and a little bag of apples. Later on I had some string cheese and 1 oz of almonds. Today I had less than 1000cal again. I really need to buy some protein shake mix.

Yes you do.. protein is not up there at all.. where do you buy a skinless hot dog.. or do you skin it yourself. I love broccoli salad but sometimes it doesnt love me.. GAS... I could fuel a car I tell you. Try and get in the 5 meals a day if you can to keep that metabolism motoring on. It really helps to keep that motor running.

Yeah I did have some protein yesterday just not much. The protein bars are about 20g of protein each so I got probably around 50 to 60 grams which I know is not much. I used to get 100 or more a day. I also need to get some fiber supplements if you know what I mean!! I have been so bound up (sorry TMI).
Here in Buffalo we have a brand of hot dogs that are amazing and they are called Sahlens hot dogs. Alot of people that leave Buffalo actually has these hot dogs shipped to them in other states. They are very good and were even mentioned on one of those food shows. They sell them here in regular and skinless.
I used to have problems big time with the gas. Believe me! For some reason the past few days I have been having digestive problems. I am thinking it is because I have not been eating alot. I am just really scared to start eating more because I am afraid I will fall back into my habits. I know I should eat but for some reason I am just really afraid. Ahhhh but I will find more protein today and report back. Thanks for the advice!

Ouch.. not a good day I see as far as work but you did awesome on the old ship sailing. I dont think work ever changes does it. Thats why they have to pay us to do it..lol.. I could think of a lot of things I would rather be doing than that.. Hope it setting down for you. remember your goals.. no stress.. dont let it get to u..

. So I am studing like a fool for a test on friday and i feel like if I have to read one more state law governing developmental disabilities I am going to go brain dead. lol.. 3 days of this and I gotta another 1 and half to go.. I even had to put my glasses on I have been reading so much...lol.. shh.. i never wear the things unless I start getting a headache..
So today.. i fought the munchie monster and I WON. I am so proud of myself. Yesterdays pep talk helped get me sailing forward again without those darn cookies. I also towed the line on my ice cream as well (the portions size seemed to be growing on me) not today.. i measured and weighed it all to remind me of what I am suppose to be doing.. I feel good about it.
So here was my day.
I drank at least 200 oz of H20 and actually did some walking to stop thinking about those cookies.. it worked..

I don't normally post but I would like to.. I was losing on 1200 calories b/c of my activity level, I am trying to get better with getting my numbers up as I do not want to lose any more weight.. already looking boney b/c of the muscle I do have already accounts on the scale. I am 5'5" and 132ish. I had my BMR tested and its 1681 and not I am really getting going on weight training which I know will increase my caloric needs even more. So please don't think I am a pig on here. I have noticed I eat more than many of you, but I need to.
B: 2 crustless mini egg beater quiches with 1/2 WASA cracker
S: SB cinnamon raisin protein bar (140 cal)
L: blackened chicken salad - 3 oz chicken, 2 cups lettuce, some diced tomatoes and sprinkle of cheese with FF dressing.
S: Atkins cinnamon bun protein bar (140 cal)
D: Blue Bunny No Sugar Added Yogurt with 1/4 cup Bare Naked Granola with 3 large strawberries.
S: EAS Shake
Cals: 1258 (not enough so I may add some fudgesickles or something later)
Fat: 49
Carbs: 101
Protein: 108
Fiber:20
Exercise - I ran 3 miles - 2 on the treadmill doing some sprints and then 1 on the track, 10 mins on the elliptical and 45 mins of circuit training and some dumbells/ab work.

You need to get those cals up a lot more for that amount of activity. if you dont want to loose more I would say at least 1500 to 1800 cals at thats at the least. You still may need to go up with that much cardio.
You make awesome choices and your numbers are great. We are all at different levels here. some trying to loose, some maintaining. its what you need as you are the captain of your own ship. I am 5'5 too and wanted to stop at 135. The body said no and I am at 120 now. My exercise has decreased a bit so I dont eat as much as I use to. You are doing great and dont worry about what your goals are.. like i said we are all different here.. You do whats best for you and stick with us and we will support you a hundred percent..

Thanks for your support and advice on here. I know i need to do this. I find where it is difficult is that I am not wanting to revert back to old habits and include any junk food and I am already eating 5ish times a day.. so it makes it hard to get those cals in. Also I am toying with numbers.. what do I increase? My protein is already sky high and my fat is maxed.. I suppose it would be good carbs but I am and have always been very carb a phobic (even with good carbs) as they tend to add weight to me. I have already increased those to 100 grams up from 80ish. I guess the fear is stopping me in my tracks.

Yes to stop loosing you gotta up the carbs.. I am affraid just like you as you could see by my continued loss. I have leveled out now at 120 with what I eat and I am comfortable there.
With all the exercise you do you really need to get your carbs up to at least 150. Yikes I know.. but that will help keep you from loosing more weight.
