This is what I have so far: For Days 1-2: Slim Fast Shakes Carb yogurt sugar free jello sugar free pudding water w/ crystal light drop ins oranges Low cal/low carb canned soups For Days 3-4: Eggs  Tuna Salmon For Day 5: Ground Turkey ground beef patty boneless skinless chicken breasts Can I still eat the yogurt/ pudding on the other days?  Or will it really slow my weight loss?  If you have any suggestions for my list please let me know!  I am excited to begin and look SO forward to feeling in control again!

Looks good to me ! I eat a lot of shrimp & talapia fish & would add that to day 3 myself. I don't recall the plan to include shrimp but, I still had it. I drink Carnation Instant Breakfast and also whey protein shakes. Really try to get your water in. I think I would've done much better if I had. I started again today & still didn't drink enuf water....too much coffee. I did exercise & play raquet ball tho. I don't think it would hurt any if you ate some yogurt/pudding if you really want it. But, then again if your still unsure stick to what the plan says.  All we can do is try our best each day.  Yes, you will feel more in control & lot's better ! Good luck !

Something that really helped me on the 5dpt was... writing down everything I put in my face... and the times I stopped eating so that I would know the time to start drinking h2o again... I also track the calories, fat and protien I am taking in... I keep a little note pad with me and it helps... I finished the 5dpt last week and I am still writing all down... it really helps me to keep a food diary... Good Luck!!! Oh I also did shrimp too (and still doing shrimp), It says on the website to start the shellfish thing on day 3 I do believe, but don't quote me on the day... Another thing that helps me is to use salsa on my eggs... I never thought I'd like it, but it helps, I also use spray butter (I cant believe its not butter and Parkay has it out) 0 cal, and 0 fat...  L8R, Bonnie

I haven't eaten anythign yet today, but have had 2 cups of coffee.  I would like to start this 5dpt right now (especially since I think I have a touch of the stomach bug and have no appetite anyway) How much coffee is "too much"?   Do you think I woul dbe ok to start this today even after already drinking 2 cups? Thanks Jenn 262/175after gaining 35 with baby #3/150

Yes, I think it would be fine.  I believe alot of people drink coffee during the first 2 days.  Do you have any sugar free Jello?  If so, make some for your snack.  You may also want to run and get a couple oranges in case you get a headache or feel weak.  Otherwise - soup and shake it, girl!  Start drinking your water right now - get in 8 glasses! I think the diet is a little unclear - I have read it several times and it still isn't registering!

Hey guys just something really quick on the jello thing... I have done a little bit of jello investigating and I found some already made sf jello that has 5 cal per serving (as opposed to jello brand 10 cal).  And it also has 2 g of protien per serving... it is Fit & Active brand and I find it at Aldi's ( a really cheap grocery store, not for sure if they are nation wide) but it is also cheaper than Jello brand Jello cups... This and Fat Free cool whip really helps me with the late evening snacking... Just thought I'd let ya know.. Later, Bonnie

I think you have a great list there.  I do not think you're supposed to eat soft foods on days 3-5.  I think you're supposed to build up to solid protein.  Also, they warn about making protein into slider foods using condiments-salsa, ketchup, etc.  We use them b/c it goes down better.  BUT after a few years out, going down better means eating more and not losing weight.

You do realize, this is a made up plan by someone who is NOT a dietary professional?  Be careful.  Kimkinz was the same thing.

Has anyones surgeon recomended the use of this diet? I am just wondering. I had lap/RNY 5 years ago in February and originally lost 145 pounds. I have gained back 25 in the last 2 years. I just completed day 2 of this diet. I am willing to try it. I just got back on the boards after 2 years away and this wasn't around, or not as popular then, it sounds pretty safe. I don't really see where there could be a problem. What do others think? Thanks, Francie
