Hi Kathy and Miranda -
Day THREE! How are you doing? I avoided McDonald's today with friends and kids and ate a can of chicken with some mayo instead. I ate scrambled eggs for breakfast (prob. about 2 1/2...is that too much?) I was full but not STUFFED. I was pretty hungry by lunchtime, however, so I ate a can of chicken and had a little SF jello cup. I felt pretty good after that and am still not hungry. I may eat the last of my bean soup tonight for dinner, but I haven't decided yet.
I am REALLY hoping that this works to get me back on track!
I didn't feel like I was all that "off-track" before, but I wasn't losing so I hope this will jump start it for me.
I USED to eat: a protein shake for breakfast (nearly every day) and a big salad with chicken or ham for lunch (nearly every day). Sometimes a PM snack, a regular dinner (meat, veggie, small carb side and a fruit) and (usually) an apple for a snack at night. I walk 2 miles a day on my treadmill and I wasn't losing weight. I hope this gets me going!!!

Greetings!! I am on day 3 of the pouch test. I was never so glad to eat cottage cheese as I was this morning. I had a couple of hard boiled eggs for a AM snack and a can of thai chili tuna for lunch. I also had a order of pintos and cheese from Taco Bell for an afternoon snack. Tallapia for dinner. From what I read of the 5DPT these are all considered "soft" protien. I've already cooked some ground turkey for lunch tomorrow. Also picked up some of those imitation crab pieces. I feel like I've broken the carb cycle I had put myself on. Haven't gotten on the scale.........usually do that on Fridays!!! Good luck to all of you..........it's a continuous journey!! Pat

One of the ideas around this test is to rid yourself of carbohydrate cravings...While fruit is a complex carb and good for you...I don't think you should add those during the 5 Days...You are supposed to be eating mostly all protein and only using anything else for flavor or to make your food more palatable in moderation as in spices and a little mayo...So Probably no on the bananas and strawberries...but it sure sounds good! LOL
Good luck
Anita
