Accountability... what did you eat Thursday

If you tell me how to make it public, I don't mind doing that. DS Math is easy.  I had the Duodenal Switch, so automatically, I don't absorb 80% of the fat I consume and 40% of the protein that I consume.  So those calories are excluded from my totals since I dont' absorb them.  I consumed 5039 calories yesterday (!!!), but my body only absorbed 2025 of them.  It's the magic of malabsorption.

Thank you,  when you log into fitday, go to the home tab and on that screen you go to the bottem and you can make you journal public or private and then you mark public.  You can then share your journal with anyone you givr the link to.  You just have to cut and paste the linke to emails, posts, ect.  Wow, it didn't seem like you eat that many calories, ect.  I love fitday,  It really helps me keep track. Done!  Thanks for the instructions.  Bear in mind, I just started tracking this stuff a couple of days ago.  I figured it would be a good idea for maintenance, so I'd have an idea of what was going in the piehole, you know?  Yeah, it doesn't look like a lot, but most of those calories come from fat, so it's all good

Well I am feeling pretty good.  I ate more yesterday,  I probebly need to speak with a Nutritionist to get an opinion on what my daily intake should be.  I am consistantly burning calories walking and have stopped snacking,  Making healthy food choices so I guess I just need to know the correct way for me to eat and excercise.  Here was yesterdays food.  I just had to eat the avocado again:
CalsFatCarbProt
Coffee, espresso ( 4 fl oz ) 11 0 2 0
Milk, cow's, fluid, skim or nonfat, 0.5% or less butterfat ( 1 cup ) 86 0 12 8
Water ( 64 fl oz ) 0 0 0 0
Cheese, Mozzarella, part skim ( 2 slice (1 oz) ) 159 10 2 16
iron ( 1 serving ) 0 0 0 0
Vitamin c ( 1 serving ) 0 0 0 0
prenatal ( 1 serving ) 0 0 0 0
citrical ( 1 serving ) 0 0 0 0
Beef jerky ( 0.5 cup, pieces ) 185 12 5 15
Fuze ( 2 serving ) 40 0 8 0
Maximum Complex ( 1 tablespoon ) 130 1 2 28

Avocado, raw ( 0.5 avocado, NS as to Florida or California ) 162 15 7 2
I have a call into the Tribal Diabetes Nutritionist and she will look at my Fitday journal,  But I will have to keep in mind that she may or may not be familiar with gastric bypass.

Yes I have the same problem with my nut.  she says.. u need bread.. I tell her I cant cause if feels like a lump in my tummy.  sometimes they just dont get it. My understanding is if you burn 200 calories exercising you need to add those calories to your intake.  so if your resting cals are 1400 a day lets say and you burn an extra 200 calories exercising you need to eat 1600 calories to maintain your weight.  If you want to loose you do 100 to 200 more.. thats what they tell me at least.  Now you have to plug in your own numbers to get the figures but thats the concept.  My WLS doc said the same thing.  If you are trying to loose you want to go lower on you intake to what is considered a reasonable number to weight loss which would be one to two hundred below your resting rate if that is safe. How that for an answer.  Lol.. remember I am not a doctor but I am a nurse..lol..   So if you burn 1000 calories a day exercising and your resting rate is 1400 you would need to eat 2200 calories a day.  does that make sense. Hope that helps. Carla
