Need Help Gaining Muscle Mass Almost 2 years Post Op
Jack, here is my two cents worth. Let me tell you I know alot less than you do. I was told don't do the treadmill on days that I use my weight equipment....the reason is the treadmill thins out the muscle that I am trying to build. I am so confused so I have stopped lifting for now but I really want to get back into it. I just don't know where to go from here and who's advice to trust? Any ideas, I have also been upping the protein and I loose a few pounds but I still very much need to get more upper body strength and really all over. Take care.

I don't know about that whole thinning out the muscle deal, I do know that you should always increase your heart rate a bit before lifting. When I say I hop on the treadmill for a few I mean any cardio machine that's available really.
As for the advice, I'm not really in a position to give it, but I can see your frustration in getting conflicting advice. I think it all boils down to everyone having a different experience, and sometimes what works for some may not work well for others.
I'm sure everyone has the best intentions when they do offer advice, but conflicting advice is frustrating and I guess you just have to use common sense with what you hear.
Anyhow, once I do figure out exactly what seems to do the trick for me I'll be sure to post.
