OK... Now... I have been doing very well since Jan 11th of this year... I have really got back on track... I started out with the 5dpt and done very well... I have since done the 5dpt twice and sticking with all of the rules inbetween... I have lost 15 lbs!!! woo hoo!!! but this past week my scales has not moved... ughh!!! I have been doing everything... eating the right foods, drinking water, taking vites, documenting everything I put in my face, etc... But tonite, I did it... I got a bit depressed, hubby left for work on the nite shift and I resorted to an old habit, I raided the snack closet (I have been so desprately avoiding!!!) I had a cup of coffee with quick added and a snack cake... thinking ahhh this will make me better, but I know better, it won't... In the morning I know I will start doing the right thing again, but this guilt is killing me!!!!.... Oh yeah I haven't been excersising... Waiting for some warmer weather to get out the bike... I know I can do something around the house, but I haven't... Maybe all I need is to get moving, well I know ... I JUST NEED TO GET MOVING!!!! Sorry for the rant, but I guess I just have late night guilt... Bonnie

Hi Bonnie. I've been just where you were at~urgh, its so hard!!!!! You're right to just put it behind you, dust yourself off, forgive yourself and move on. You've lost 15lbs already~that's fantastic!!!!! Maybe your body just needed a little break. Adding some exercise will definitely help too~have any old tapes or dvd's laying around?? that's what I've been doing this winter and its helping mentally as well as physically! Good Luck!!!!!!

Bonnie, congratulations on the 15 lb loss. As for raiding the snack closet, it's overwith, don't dwell on it, move forward.  You should look at the progress you've made, there aren't many that can claim total perfection.

Bonnie, If you think that eating something that isn't healthy is something to be guilty about, don't!  You know who should really be guilty?  The companies selling this crap and making it look and taste so good!  Shame on them!  LOL  Seriously, if I thought for a moment, I had to give up every single fattening little creamy, chocolately, sweet, crunchy, ::whatever it is that is bad for me::::forever...I couldn't do this...I really couldn't do this surgery.   If you allow yourself to have a nibble now and then ...you're going to be fine.  Allow yourself this and do like Tracy and work it off the next day!  It's a great plan!  If you go out and keeping stocking your house with the things you KNOW you might get into...don't "power stock" them. (That's what I call it when I buy a double box of Little Debbie Pumpkin Creme Pies) No no no.  I have none of that in my house. When I do buy that stuff for my hubby or kids...I buy enough just for them and I leave it out for them to see so they eat it.  (I used to hide it so I got one or two)  I will buy myself a cool snack of my own so I don't feel the urge to eat theirs then they eat my stuff...so I stopped buying their sweets and we all eat healthy.  But then again...sugar is not my weakness...Bread and chips and pretzels and corn and potatoes and rice...That's my weakness...I cannot go past a bread bakery without having a total melt down. LOL  I managed to find a way to get down bread without too much trouble.  (butter) UGH! Someone mentioned cupcakes the other day and now I can't get a vanilla cup cake with stawberry frosting outta my head!  It's making me insane!  I will not go near the bakery until Valentines day is over and all little pink frosted cupcakes turn green for St .Patty's Day!  LOL Green cupcakes do nothing for me!  YAY! Aww...Don't worry too much, really!

Hi Bonnie,  January 11th is the day that I jumped back on the Tracks and got my life back on track too.  Awsome that you have lost 15 pounds!  I have lost 9 and really am developing some great habits that I have forgotten about.  Don't beat yourself up about one snack,  just make sure that you start a new day and continue a healthy lifestyle,  you deserve it.  Keep up the great work.  We should check on each other,  we sorta have the same WLS rebirthday!

Bonnie, you are doing great! Please don't let a little slip up make you feel guilty (for too long). We all have these things happen but what we need to do is forget about it and go back to the eating plan we have been using asap. In the old days when I got off track i would just give up and never get back on track. That does not work, it only causes a continuation of a vicious cycle of losing and gaining.

Hang in there, you can succeed!
