Hi Lorri!  Sounds like you are doing great.  I am doing one more day of liquids since I started late into Monday since I worked Sunday night.  So I am calling today Day 1 for me. Here is what I ate (or should I say drank?) ;) Breakfast: 8 oz of light vanilla soy milk and 1 scoop of arctic frapp cappacino protein powder (My husband who hates protein powder is totally hooked on this stuff, hes had a shake 2 days in a row now! Yeah!) Snack: Grande decaf SF vanilla hazelnut latte made with soy milk Snack: 1 cup SF Jello (packed it with me!) then a large decaff coffee with 2 of those half and half moo moo's and splenda (i know bad but it was so good). stopped at a gas station to get gas and fill up tire. Lunch: 1 cup split pea soup with 1/2 ounce of mont jack cheese, tbsp of light sour cream and some crumbled bacon on top (5DPT recipe) Snack: 1 cup SF Jello Dinner: Chocolate PB shake (choc protein powder and pb2 with vanilla soy milk and ice YUM!!!) .. I found PB2 in the organic aisle of the grocery store. Have you guys seen this stuff? It's powdered peanuts.. pressed from roasted peanuts and u add water and it makes peanut butter with 75% less fat. 2 tablespoons once mixed with water is only 54 cals, 2 fats and 4 proteins, 3 carbs.. amazing! Not sure if is supposed to be allowed on the liquid days but shrugs.. its only 54 more cals and more protein and low carb.. I finally get to indulge in PB again in a safe way.. it tastes SO good too! I highly recommend this. I have tried other products like soy peanut butters and better'n peanut butter.. ick.. its awful. This stuff wins hands down! cals 921, fats 26, carbs 73, fiber 11, protein 101

That PB stuff sounds great - I'm going to look out for it.  I love PB but it is so high in calories even if you get the high protein with it.  This looks like a great alternative.  Thanks

Hi Ruth it is awesome!  Try going here... http://www.bellplantation.com They have a store locater on their site.  I hope you try it.. im serious when I say im a picky person with needing that "real" PB taste.. this so is right on!  I threw all the other "alternatives" I tried in the trash.. I am sold.

Melissa You sound like you are doing awesome!!  I'm going to have to try that peanut butter!  Have you ever gone to smoothie king and gotten a gladiator smoothie?  It is 45 grams  protein and zero carbs and if you tell them to make it with chocolate powder and  peanut butter it tastes like a Reese's!! They told me that the peanut butter only added 12 carbs to the whole thing so I figured, hey, not bad..... Keep up the great work!!! Lorri

You're like me!  I was not going to starve those first two days!  And I don't have a sweet tooth!  I need something salty or hearty (Like your split pea soup)   That PB Shake sounds so delicious. I never heard of it...(looks like I'll be going-a-huntin')  I gotta leave town to find more modern stuff...The locals here like their simple country foods...none of that thar soy milk ...and just what kinda animal is that Tofu burger come from? and what the heck is South Beach Diet..."can ya have grits and pancakes fried with lard and biscuits with jam and creamed sausage?" ....LOL  (They are getting better though now that they changed our tiny Food Lion into a teeny tiny more modern store. Now we have an aisle of wine instead of chewing tobacco! ;)   Thanks for the PB info!  I usually have to come across cool stuff like this by accident!   Good luck with the rest of your 5 Day!  Anita

Lorri! hehehe...I'm serious, I think this is why I am so confused half the time...I've lived here for 15 years after growing up a city type girl living in a New York City suburb, called New Jersey! :::giggles::: Then off to the military and all over the world. So coming out to the country was unusual to say the least...I think I scare my neighbors...hehe but they know I'm from Jersey so they gimme a break and laugh at my slight Northern accent and eclectic kinda ways. They have built this place up so fast!  I used to drive for 2 hours to go up to Fairfax (near DC) just to go to Whole Foods, Wegmans and Trader Joe's.  I still do once a month...But they are building a Wegmans (MY favorite grocery store in the WORLD) only 20 minutes from me! I am soooo excited. :::jumping up and down::::YAY!!!!  (yes all this over a grocery store!!! You'd think my hubby finally listened and bought me a coach hand bag..he didn't.)   I already made my kid go get a job there!  She's going to be a chef! She took culinary classes that are finally going to be put to good use!!  LOL They took this little boonie town and built houses that no locals can afford so they had to keep up with the growth and change Food Lions into more upper class "Bloom Stores". (if you want to call it upper class)  It is certainly better than Food Lion. (Which even after 15 years I still call it "Lion King"...I dunno why I can't remember "Food Lion"...my family laughs at me)  I would not even walk in that store a few years ago...Especially at night when all the bubba's were out drinking with buddies!  Nice fellas in the day...after a few beers...They turn into crazed horn dogs.  I would love to live in Louisiana...My dad was stationed there for a short time when I was a kid, but I don't remember it at all.  Growing up a military brat and then going in myself...I had to learn to adjust to whereever I was...so I can fit in anywhere (for the most part) I try to add a little flavour!  LOL  But some just think I'm a lunatic...They are probably right!  LOL Anyway...Real food today huh?  Soft but real! I know you all are excited! This is the day I finally felt my pouch and the tightness. It's been three weeks for me and I still feel it! :)  That's why I am so excited for you all! Hugs, Anita
