Hope you don't mind me posting this before you cajungirl!   I had another day of basically just protein shakes... I'm pleasantly surprised that I've been able to live on these for two days and haven't even missed food... I didn't even crave salty stuff or anything... interesting... :-)  Makes me want to do it a third day just because :-)  Maybe I'll do that during the day at work and then have tilapia for dinner... hmmmmmm... we shall see...  I did get some tuna to take to the office... I can eat anything... I'm very easy... just tuna right out of the bag/can makes me happy... :-) Anyway, here's how day 2 went:

1 Atkins Advantage shake = 160 / 9 / 5 / 15

1 AchievOne = 120/0/5/20

5 EAS AdvantEDGE shakes - 550 / 15 / 10 / 85

1 Micellar Milk - 220 / 2 / 12 / 40

Muscle Milk Chocolate Pudding - 160 / 6 / 6 / 20

TOTAL = 1210 / 32 / 38 / 180 Angie

No way girl would it bother me.......we are in this together!  I did good also, very happy with the day.  I have my day planned too, made tuna salad (very little mayo) and bought some sardines w/mustard for lunch just in case. I'm not hungry either......my usual crazy mind doesn't think about food though until I eat, I felt I'd do ok with shakes, now the first day was harder than day 2.

Freak!  How do you just eat less than 800 calories?

I keep trying to make 1000 my max, and just can't do it!  Grrrrr!!!  :-) Let's see how I do today... I wasn't very good with the water yesterday, so I will try to do better there today... brought some tuna to work. Quick question:  nuts... yea or nay? Angie

Angie, I really am (thankfully) very restricted in my intake.....IF I listen to my pouch and don't graze my calorie intake is still not much.....I find that using the soy milk and the IDS protein the nutritional info (except protein) is really low. I had a soft scrambled egg this morning and it feels like someone is sitting on my chest, I hate it......wanted to give it another try but guess Mr. Pouch still doesn't like eggs....weird though in a chicken or tuna salad I can eat them. No the nuts, I would say with limited amt you should be fine.  My sister puts pecans in her tuna or chicken salad and I really like it.....of course I don't make it at home like that because everyone else thinks it's gross. I brought tuna salad and a can of sardines in mustard sauce for today, not sure how I'll deal with the sardines, haven't ate them in years but use to like it.

Alrighty then :-)  I like to eat nuts as a snack... and yes, always in limited amounts because those suckers can add up! :-)  I'm 25 pounds and 4 months away from my goal... I really gotta work on them freakin' calories!!! :-) Not to mention my biggest issue which is getting my butt moving!!!  I really really really gotta get that going!!!  Whew :-) Angie

I am probably one of the worse post-ops when it comes to exercising.....I know how important it is but I hate it.....let me say that again I HATE IT, lol......I've bought an elliptical, have tons of exercise DVDs, a bicycle and plenty of space to walk.......it hasn't happened yet, maybe one of these days.

OK, except for the fact that you are teeny tiny and I'm not... Dude!  You are me!  I have a stationary bike, an elliptical, that big ball thinguie, a weight bench!, free weights, excercise DVDs, tennis racket, rollerblades, plenty of space and great weather for walking... I have HEALTH, I have body parts that work.... mobility... I have EVERYTHING I need...  And yet, I STILL don't take advantage of it all!!! I start an exercise program and get all pumped up for a couple of days and then......... blah. Grrrrrrrrr!!!

Well... I'm really wanting to change this anti-exercise attitude... If they let me, I'm gonna join that 8 week challenge... figured the accountability might be just what I need to get me going... wish me luck!!! :-) Angie

I'm with you and Angie...I HATE exercise. I am clumsy, uncoordinated and ditzy...So any program is a nightmare for me. LOL  I tried aerobics...hated all the juming on the arthritic knees...(Couldn't figurre out the routines to save my life.)  Just when I did, they changed them. A friend had me join a "jazzercise" class with her...What a joke.  I ran into people, smacked them elbowed them...They laughed at me!  (I laughed at me) I don't get upset about that stuff but it was still embarrassing. I kept triping over the step block... I hate the cold...hate the extreme heat where you sweat the second you walk out the door...LOL  The only good thing about me is that I work hard if there is a reward...I love my yard to look totally manicured. SO I love gardening and don't mind mowing the lawn.  I love walking the dog on the beach which I do a lot in the summer. I love swimming. I guess what i am saying is that execise doesn't have to be a routine but can be in something you love to do. I'm up and out at 8 and in at 9 in the spring-summer and fall...I love to be in the yard or the water. I am non stop. Who needs any equipment for that!?  You would be shocked the amount of calories you burn just planting flowers and pulling weeds for a few hours.  It's like therapy to me. I know I play hard so I don't worry about exercise...only in winter...I always feel sooooo lazy...hehe I have an excuse now!
