what tests do I ask my PCP to do?

I have an appointment w/ my PCP next month. My surgery doc said to have him do the yrly blood work. I've read that many tests aren't done & I'd like to suggest to my PCP that they be done. One test I just heard about at the support group was a "Dexa scan"  It's a bone scan to test for osteoperosis. I also am going to ask for a resting metobolic rate test. My weight is stuck & I'm doing all I know to do. I do cheat occasionally but not that much. I see my wt inching up there. And I want to nip it in the bud before I gain it back. yes I do exercize. Not enouph I'm sure but I do some. But what are all the other tests that I need to be aware of. I haven't been proactive w/ this & I now want to be. So if you could give me a list that would be a great help to me. I value everyone opinion here . Thanks, Brenda

Even though I'm supposed to be working (shhhhhhh, don't tell my boss!) I went ahead and combined Michelle's list with mine for a new and improved list! :-)

Geocities is blocked here at work, so I had to google a way to get it out to y'all... and here it is! :-)

When I come back next week, I will replace the one on my website with this one... :-)

Feel free to check it out and let me know if I need to make any corrections!
