No appetite today...doesn't that sound great! I forced two drinks then I know I said no fish tonight but I did have crab shrimp and vegtable sushi...broke out in hives I called the place we ate and it was processed crab. I think I asked like 3 times is this fresh crab, maybe I should have said is this real crab, well at least they didn't fake the shrimp and veggies...what has this world come to, Everything's processed or contains preservatives!  Okay off my soapbox I had no business eating out. I sauteed  veal and beef  late tonight so I can put lasagna in the oven tomorrow night...always taste better if you let lasagna stand in fridge overnight and reheat next day. I went to sparkpeople.com and figured out  the breakdown to know how much I can eat on Sunday.  Am planning in advance....wise right???? (this is big, I can't even look at meat w/o getting nausea but I asked and this was his choice)  We are having real lasagna with NO preservatives. Hey Carla, be careful with the sugar, don't want our captain to fall overboard! Have a great Saturday everyone...even you lurkers. OMG I lost my connection 3 times trying to post this tonight!

OH my gosh! I'm sorry I told you about those. I cut my servings of those down to half recently cuz of the things my pouch says to me afterwards too. half seems to be okay for my pouch. I'm still staying really up there on calories. No weight gain, down .2 a pound this morning (how the heck can that be?)  Breakfast: Instant Oatmeal, 1 scoop protein, 1 cup soy milk, 1/4 cup dried fruit, 1 cup coffee Second Breakfast: 3 egg omelet w/ 2 slices of swiss cheese and about 2/3 cup (estimate) of ortega chilis.  No lunch: So Be drink mix. Just not hungry but very thirsty Snack for lunch: 2 rolled up slices of Oscar Mayer Salami and 2 slices of American cheese with it.  Snack: 3 SF Peeps and 1/2 serving of those pesky SF Chocolate Cashews Dinner: 4 oz really lean steak, 1/2 can asparagus, 1/2 cup baked potato with about an ounce of light sour cream.  No Dessert.  Totals: Calories: 2107 Fat: 104 (salami and cheese was the culprit on this) Carbs: 155 Protein: 141 I have to keep reminding myself that I can reverse this process if I need to but pushing my calories over 2000 every day is really scary regardless. And when the scale doesn't respond..What am I suppose to think?
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Its amazing how are bodies react to food now.  Yikes on the fat.. oh my...  yes I have tossed those chocolate covered almonds.. they just make my pouch feel queezy all day.  I dont like that.  I blew every meal because of them so I bit the bullet and tossed the rest.  I can not go to winco cause the I know I would buy more... ok.. enough said about those evil treats.  I am back on track and captain of my ship again.  whoo hoo. I cant believe you continue to loose weight.  I think I can understand.  remember I said I was up to pounds.  Even with all the extra cals I have put in this week I have now dropped back down to 121.  I will watch to see if it drops again.   I think in many ways we dont eat enough and that holding on to food is what we are maintaining.  It would be interesting to see if we all took our cals up for a week or two if we would return to norm and possibly loose again.  interesting theroy isnt it. have a great weekend. Aww Carla...I'm as frustrated with the protein bars as you are with the almonds...and I have one conclusion...Protein and chocolate do not mix well in our bellies! :::Sniffling::: I sure am going to miss protein...because I cannot give up chocolate <---Just kidding.  I can't give up protein...just the forms I use. I came to the conclusion that I cannot afford to give up my powder supplement. Dana (CG) is right...Ya really gotta have that protein powder...I just cannot do the numbers without it. I have 3 more flavors of Oh Yeah bars to eat and a box of Zone Perfect Bars (which don't give me gas, but if I eat one when I am not really hungry...OUCH!)  So...I will only use those things on the run. (It's good to have a plan!)  Now what to do about that Fiber One...It's going to be a problem because it's so good...I have tried to measure a half a serving and find myself going back for a full serving! I'm so weak!!!!!  But I like having higher fiber in my numbers. It does send my complex carbs numbers over my norm! I think that is okay with the fiber numbers being higher too right? S: Coffee and 1 scoop protein (no soy today)  B: 3/4 C Egg Beaters scrambled w/      2 slices Lowfat swiss     1 Roma Tomato and 1 1/2 T coursely ground Flax L:  1 1/2 C Great Northen White Bean Soup with veggies       1T Romano Grated Cheese for flavor and Ditalini pasta (tiny bit) S: purple plum ....1/2 tsp Coconut oil with multi vit S: My very first ...Oh Yeah Peanutbutter Cup Wafers <----too good to be protein...Gas the rest of the day afterwards ( I was not hungry when I ate this...that'll learn me!) D: 4oz Grilled Chicken breast fillet w/ 1oz Goat cheese     Sundried tomatoes and basil (home made) ~  Spinach and artichoke  in (cream of chicken soup base) w/2T parmesan cheese S: 1/2 C Fiber One cereal (dry) Fat: 48   Carbs: 131.5    Protein: 105.5   Fiber: 41.5   Calories: 1393

Anita, I have decided once these Power Crunch bars are gone it will be a while before I buy them again......just too much like candy for me.....and oh wow yesterday I was thrashing with stomach pain after I ate one, assuming it was gas but couldn't pass it.  Took me about 45 minutes to feel good again. I am off to GNC in a bit to find a new suggestion on protein powder, once I test it I'll give you my review, lol. Have a great day and a Happy Easter.....I will have candy at my house *sigh* the 6 & 8 year old would be very unhappy if the Bunny didn't pass. Hugs,

I know what you mean!  I have been so mad at myself over those bars!  I worked soooo hard to get rid of the carb monster from the winter holidays...I was soooo miserable for about 4 months! Everyday!  Then I did the 5PT...and had not felt so great in years (pouch wise anyway)  Then....I started the protein bars and trying to add calcium ****cream) It just gave me back a baby carb monster...More like a little monster always tugging on my apron strings!  LOL  So...I am doing my protein drink (In my coffee) Tried to give up coffee but the headaches were not worth it! LOL   This is the first year that both kids are not home with me...I miss my son so much I could cry!  I used to hide their Easter baskets up until last year...They'd come flying down the stairs looking for their hidden baskets...(Even at 20-17 years old! )  hahaha...:::Sniff:::: I miss it!  I will not miss the candy though...As long as I have no serious cravings...I don't miss it...It would be harder having it in the house for sure! Good luck there!  LOL That's okay I can't stop thinking about these Tofu Ice cream sandwiches i just bought!  I'm a gluton for punishment!  It's bad enough I ate guacamole and chips for saturday breakfast! LOL Real nice start eh?  LOL Happy Easter Sweetie!  Enjoy the tots while they are still young... They leave! :(  :::Sniffles:::: Anita

For some reason I have learned to control my protein bar desires but I do like them and would eat more if I didnt have myself set to the one a day for snack and on low days maybe another one.. dont know how I can be so good about that and than loose it on those almonds... yikes You are right in the area you shot for so good job.  Keep that up.  Oh that spinch and artichoke sounds yummy.  You make that yourself..  hmmm Carla

This is a HIGH iron food!  Very nice iron count from the spinach and artichokes... Big bag of frozen chopped spinach Can of artichokes (not in the oil) in brine (sal****er) Can of campbell's cream of chicken soup (condensed) 1/4 C romano and/or parmesan cheese (can add to entire recipe or more sparingly to your own portion) Soak or defrost frozen spinach (can run water over it) Squeeze excess water out (can be a little moist) Throw all in a pan...Don't even dilute the soup...Can add a little milk , yogurt or ricotta or cream cheese too! (adds proteins) You want it nice and bubbly and thick!  Makes a huge batch!  Takes great with pita chips, soy crisps, whole wheat crackers or whatever your crunchy dipping snack might be... I estimated the simple recipe to be about 1/2C  4 Fat 14 carbs 7 protein 2 fiber 110 calories
