Keeping your mobility is so important. So glad that you are trying to find a good fit for your current exercise plan. Once your weight reduces, you'll probably really enjoy getting-out and doing more. As for mental baggage...that takes time...and effort... and patience... but working on it is the key! I didn't have a clear liquid phase pre-op. I'd just follow the Dr's info. Call the office with questions. Bariatric staff are very helpful; they know that this is a big step for you. I found that after surgery my tastebuds were "shot". Nothing tasted good for a while. I only bought a small amount of "liquids" because I had heard from others that they had spent $$$$ and didn't like the taste of things after WLS. I froze a batch of my favorite chicken broth, using an ice cube tray, which helped. Have a good weekend!!! Ro
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I would only suggest doing light exercise, non weight bearing, as previous posters stated. As the weight starts coming off you feel better and have less pain and be able to start walking or another exercise that you find you can do comfortably. AS for the liquid diet, have plenty of sugar free popcylces and chicken or beef broth to sip on along with water or crystal lite type sugar free beverages. ALso sugar free jello counts as a liquid.
Wishing you all the best.
