I always thought the math was off, but that is what I was told by my nut.  I'm meeting with her next month.  I agree with you.  I should probably increase my carbs and proteins.  I hope I can get a better direction next month.  Thanks a lot.

I was going to say something on the lines that Kelley said just above but mine isn't as technical or referenced. I'm living it. I have a personal goal to get my calories up to OVER 2000 calories a day(ideal over 2300 a day). My second goal is to maintain over 120 grams of protein a day...So that part is easy cuz I'm eating 6 mini meals a day. But sometimes the fat is quite high. Sometimes the carbs are quite high. I just figure there isn't much that I can do about that while maintaining a varied diet.  What I'm trying to do is gain a couple of pounds and maintain right there and see how I feel. I'm getting it down but the scale isn't moving much. up a tenth, down a couple tenths. mostly maintaining. But my blood work is really good. Not malnurished at all. Most levels high average or above it.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Hi Bethany! I understand your frustration.  My BMR is near 1700.. I have to eat 120+ grams of protein and keeps carbs around 100-120 and fats around 45-55 to maintain my weight and usually 1800 calories.  I gained some though recently when I had a falling off for a while and now back to almost to where I want to be.  I am eating 1200-1400 calories now and losing quickly with that.  Its such a hard game to play i do understand. Id say way more protein personally and healthy carbs.
