5 Day Pouch Test: Grocery Items?
Hello All!
I keep reading over and over about how great the 5DPT is. I have really wanted to try doing this, but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. Is it okay to use soy milk in your shakes? Is it okay to buy the cream soups off the shelves. I want to do as little cooking as possible. I would like to start this next Monday with some other members if possible.

You can drink anything liquid...as long as it is not sugar or carbonated, I believe...Soymilk is hard to find with no sugar, but I drank it anyway...I use plain soymilk anyway...but some of the flavors have higher sugar. My protein powder has a bit in it too....but again...That's what I use! Milk and dairy has lactose and lactose is a sugar...so you pretty much can't avoid ALL sugar. That's why you will not find a completely sugar free yogurt or cheese.
I didn't use cream soups...but yes you can buy cans...I used bean soups for the high protein content...I made one soup and bought a chili soup at the grocery store and whizzed it really fast to make sure it was liquidy and not chunky solids. Progresso makes a nice Lentil and Split Pea and ham (no potatoes)
