Accountability Wednesday...What did you eat today?
I think you're doing AMAZING..Before WLS I would have a snack attack day that would top out at 5 or 6000 calories and most of that fat..Two bags of barbeque chips, a whole package of cookies...Yikes. Those were the days. NOT!
Thanks on the tribute comment. She was an awesome lady. She taught me how to take care of myself and the family (my siblings) she left behind before I was 10..Most of the reason for my OCD now. but then, hey, who's gonna take care of things if not ME? LOL
Sometimes you just have to snack and use the slider foods but you have it under control. Your ship is headed out in the right direction..Keep the wind in your sails and keep sailing, Captain!
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Isn't it amazing what amount of foods we used to pack away? Right not there is a tray of brownies in my oven that my son made. Before, I would have consumed them by now, but I just moved the pan out of the way so I could bake dinner last night.
sometimes we have to look to see how far we have come....to see how the battle with food has become less and less and our ability to say "no" stronger. Doesn't mean there won't be temptations but its not the same is it?
thanks for helping out this week!!
have a blessed day!

HA!! me too! I have my cupboard and refrig stash. I actually get mad when my daughter raids it or sometimes my husband eats my food! Its funny, but when its your food and someone ate it its NOT at the time!!! I always have to have something with me in the car or on outings. Protein drinks, or healthy nuts or something so I won't have to worry about eating something that will get me sick or not having something to eat!

Tami

ROFL... At first I felt really sheepish to admit that I'd actually keep my "foodies" away from the guys.
Now... I feel SMART! Thanks for the laugh! I pack good food too... It came in handy at the Rennaisance Faire and at a diner that served "junk covered in fatty whatever". Just whipped-out a bar and healthy snacks then chowed-down. Looks or no looks... I feed my body, which is what it's about now. Ro
I agree. I like the fact that if I slip up, I get smacked (I dump, some don't) but I can get back up; dust myself off; and get back on track. To compare myself to before WLS...I'm half the person with twice the strength...

Me too. I never went back to sugar. Still sugar free. Because I dumped so badly on catchup. That's also one of the reasons I chose this surgery so I would have physical limitations. Band for me would be too tempting.

Thanks so much for the words of comfort and confidence... I often say that I'm on the right path finally since WLS... just didn't know I was sailing... The Captain reference really helped... as in I'm in control of where I take myself on this journey... You are one smart lady!
Hope that our MOMs meet up some day... They'd enjoy eachother's company. Got a feeling that yours is So proud of how well you did raising the "kids" !
I'm not the same either! Ro
I borrowed the ship reference from Carla since I'm "subbing" for her the rest of this week while she's camping (hopefully).
We each have our own ship, the direction we choose ourselves. My direction may not be the same as yours. We decide each day which direction we're going in and after that, it's up to the wind to carry us or turn us over. If we sail on, we're doing good. If we turn over, we turn the ship upright, make adjustments and keep sailing.
We can all sing "WE ARE THE CAPTAIN, WE ARE THE CAPTAIN...." to the tune of We are the Champions...LOL.
Yes, sometimes I get goofy.
