366/249/286-WORKING TO LOSE!!!
I've been the opposite lately. I'm nervous about my job, new grandbaby coming, and recently divorced daughter that's driving me crazy. As of today, I'm at 130 pounds, not too bad but I'm gaining, and 130 is my "oh sh**" weight. So tomorrow's back to doing everything right. I can get back down to 125 in a couple of weeks, but then I start acting up again and get right back to 130. The only time I've not had an appetite was about 3 weeks after my surgery. I always thought it would be a wonderful thing, but it was awful, so I know you must be miserable. I wonder why you're not hungry - do you think maybe you need to get checked out by your doctor? Honestly, it would sort of scare me if I lost my appetite. The only suggestion I would have would be to eat some carbs. That sure does the trick for me, even though I don't need it. Shannon, If you have not been to see your surgeon in a while I would suggest you do that and get checked out. I feel that it is unusual for someone that is 4 years out not to be hungry, there could be something else going on.
If all is well then I would suggest going back to basics to get back into the losing mode, 10lbs is a good start. I would ask you if you are following the rules we were taught as new post ops. Not drinking with meals, eat protien first then vegetables and fruit and whole grain foods. You might try eating small meals every 3 hours or so during the day and see if that helps. You need to eat healthy to stay healthy and you are too young to stop taking care of yourself.
All the best
