I did it today. Got my hair cut off! I have the 12 inch+ braid to prove it too.

YOU look GREAT with short hair!   Must be feeling "light & free" from the 12" braid... but it's still cherished!  At this length, without the extra weight, your hair will probably thicken quickly.  Really, your hair does not look  thinned-out.  I am taking 3 Biotin to stop hair from falling out; just too much to be a normal thing.  Since the 3 Biotin, my loss is probably that of a non-op.   Ro  : Too Long         : Too Short    YOUR  HAIR ... HEHE...I haven't had short hair since I was 10 years old. 40 years ago. I let hubby trim it 10 years ago and spent MONTHS trying to figure out what exactly posessed me to give him the scissors. This time I let someone who knows what they're doing mess with it and I'm pretty happy with the results.

Your short and sassy 'do looks great.  Be careful that you don't strain your neck, cause now turning your head will be so much easier!! LOL Cindy

Dawn, it looks great short and it doesn't look thin.....sometimes it takes doing something totally off the wall of our "normal", to change and make us feel better about ourself.  Wow 12", your hair was long. I'm going next weekend for a new color, hi-lights and thinking about doing some type of different style.  My hubby loves long hair and is scared I'll cut all mine off, lol.  I won't though with summer here and running around with my boys so much I need something I can do quickly. I believe the shorter hair on your tiny little body is better (although I don't recall seeing the long hair).....your eyes and face shine.

Now that it's shorter, you can tell it's getting thicker. The lady cutting it showed me where the new growth is coming in, it's just too short to do any good for the end of the long braid. When I was younger, that braid was thick! I always braided two cuz it was so thick (one on each side, like Heidi) and now, just the one is less than half the thickness that a side braid was...Sadly thin. It will grow out and it will be thicker.. Thanks so much.  My husband loves long hair too but he can see that it looks better too. Even our neighbor said it makes my face look "fuller."
